Steam discounts

Steam discounts

Unread postby Comosicus » November 4th, 2010, 2:48 pm

Recently I have taken the habit of keeping an eye on the discounts that Steam makes on a regular basis. Because my laptop is not really up to the task of running newer games, like my desktop back in Romania was, I am interested mainly in slightly older games or even classics. So for a few euros or dollars you can get a very nice deal of some games you might have had enjoyed playing a while ago.

I will try and keep this updated whenever I see something interesting.

Today's deal is for the Grand Theft Auto package and is valid for the entire weekend. It packs GTA, GTA2, GTA3, GTA:San Andreas and GTA:Vice City for only 7.49 euro. And I think I might actually buy this.

It's not his fault that you feel the need to spend your money dude.
"Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move."

No but it's his fault that he brings it to my attention!

I can't resist such deals, it's why I do my best to ignore steam!

Good thing you missed THQ Week and Trick or Treat Sale then.

Also, if you look under the specials, you'll find the GTA games on sale. GTA Classics package (GTA 1-3, San Andreas, Vice City) is currently 75% off and thus $7.49.

Oh yeah, that's coming out soon, or is it already out?

I liked how the last one ended. Seeing Rand go so far off the deep end that he came full circle on the path of madness was nice.

Will be interesting to see how he'll apologize though....
Also, I have to punch you, jgkitarel, because I spent a lot of time on the nanoha wiki trying to locate information on mages being trained due to being above a certain rank, only to remember and confirm that you were the one that came up with that. - Phht

It's out, but amazon might make me wait a week or so... might actually go into another bookstore and buy it there if they don't hurry it up.

And yeah, while I disagree with the try again and again thing I did enjoy him getting a positive outlook again^^

Considering the numerous Nietzsche references in the story, it really isn't surprising.

If money wasn't tight for me at the moment, I'd be all over that Dawn of War II package. Only US$14 for DoW2 and Chaos Rising.

Huge discounts for the holidays for a very large number of items. It seems they are changed on a daily basis so keep an eye for your favorite game.

Could be worse. a couple days ago I picked up the DoW platinum pack. And then it went on sale and I could've gotten all the DoW games and DoW2 ones plus a bunch of other games for just $20 more. D'oh.

Except Dawn of War II: Retribution. Dawn of War: Winter Assault is bundled with Dawn of War Gold, so ignore any price next to it.

Thanks for the heads up Comosicus. 15 bucks for two reportedly awesome rpg's? I'm down with that. Look like I'll finally be playing Mass Effect.

Today is 75% off the Crysis pack (the original two ones). Just got meself both of them for 5euro.

I'll have to wait for the next price drop to get ME2. It helps that I played it already last summer. :leaving:

Not much time left, but I just noticed that the entire Civ 4 Complete Edition (Civ 4, Warlords, Beyond the Sword, and Colonization) is today's bargain: $7.50 for the whole thing. *Grab*
