Portal 2 Co-op

Portal 2 Co-op

Unread postby bobman10000 » May 12th, 2012, 1:32 pm

I've had Portal 2 for a while, and beat the single player a long time ago, but for some reason never played co-op mode. Now, it's pretty much impossible to find someone who hasn't already beaten everything. Is there anyone who would want to play for the first time/replay the whole co-op mode?

To reset the progress in co-op mode:
Hi all! Steam Support finally answered and here's what they said:
Hello,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
Currently, co-op progress is not intended to be reset.
However, this can be accomplished by using console commands. Doing so should be done at your own risk.
This process is intended for advanced users only, and may prevent you from receiving further achievements in-game.

Note: This process cannot be undone. Once progress is reset, you will need to play the game to unlock levels.

If you still wish to reset your co-op progress, do the following:
-Launch Portal 2 and begin a co-op game with another player.
-Open the game's console and type the following command:
sv_cheats 1
-Then, one player should type the following command:
mp_mark_all_maps_incomplete
You may see errors in the console. These can be ignored.

This should reset co-op progress for the player that typed it, and should not affect the other player's progress.
Then, open the console again and type the following command:
sv_cheats 0

Now, exit this co-op session and start a new one.
You should now see that game progress has been reset.
