Street Doc Profile: Mouse

Mouse is aptly named. He ain't much to look at, but people that come to see him don't care. He's a street doc that currently works out of his apartment in Bellevue. (He also volunteers in that MOM-sponsored shelter on Sidney Ave.) Oddly enough, he seems to just get a charge out of making sick and hurt people feel better. That's right, no addictions, no sidelines in questionable second-hand implants - just patching people up. He's a little skittish if you knock on his door in the middle of the night, but once he gets to work and his nerves settle, he's as good as anyone out there.
<<<Arachnos>>>

He's younger than hell, but plenty smart. Good kid. Frag with him and I'll twist your head off.
<<<Lion>>>

I resent the implication that all Street Docs are on the chip.
<<<Dr. Feelgood>>>

I might find your objection credible... if I didn't know your dealer.
<<<Arachnos>>>

Anyone know where this kid originally came from? He looks vaguely familiar...

While his appearance and demeanor are not such to inspire great confidence upon introduction, both are misleading. Mouse performed in a quite competent manner while patching me up after I made the mistake of becoming distracted during a fairly minor job.

If you are planning on showing up at my door needing to be patched up, please come with some references. I've worked on alot of people on ShadowSea, and I'd rather not get mixed up with anyone I don't trust.

Incidentally, at Lily's suggestion I'm offering going to start taking on some jobs as a runner. In addition to being a good doctor, I'm also pretty good at hacking, and decent at recon in a pinch. Not much more to say, but if you have a job, send me a PM.
<<<LuckyMouse>>>

For those of you that don't know, Mouse is the guy that got us into the secure AAA site, a couple of weeks ago. From the sound of it, he managed to pull the whole thing off without raising a stink. He's never gonna boast himself, so I figure I'd better do it for him.
<<<FlowerPower>>>

I really don't think it's wise raising all these expectations for me... I don't think my skills are that much to talk about.
<<<LuckyMouse>>>

And that's what I love about you kid.

With an attitude like that, you're going nowhere. The meek inherit drek-all.

And the arrogant inherit a body bag.
<<<SladeTheBlade>>>

He's a crapshoot on a run. He can freeze up when things get fragged, but he can also be invaluable. I had to drag him to cover when some security corpses caught us, but then a bit later in the job I got hit with some new toxin, and the crazy slot snuck into their labs, hacked into their research and synthed an antitoxin.

Good guy to get on your side, especially in this line of work. He's like a second insurance policy if your in it too deep.
<<<BigRigs>>>

Pfeh, what he did was reckless. He wasted time we needed to be spending getting the job done trying to save your hide. If we hadn't gotten paid for that, I'd have blanked both of you.
<<<Longarms>>>

Frag off you stoic drek. Just because you don't feel emotion doesn't mean no one else should.

Heh. Sometimes I think the comments sections contain the most valuable data on ShadowSEA.
<<<GreenEyes>>>

How you figure that?
<<<Facet>>>

Namely who I do and don't want to work with. Cheers for people missing their discretion gene.
<<<GreenEyes>>>

I knew it! You're working with Horizon on their psych profiling project aren't you? Next thing we know, ShadowSEA will be seeded with subliminal advertising tuned to our individual profiles, rendering us helpless to resist!
<<<The Lone Gunman>>>

I think they already did that with the jingle for Bob's Barbecue Burgers. Last time I was in there I ate three of those triple-doubles and nearly made myself sick.
<<<Slamm-O!>>>

Now you're making me sick!

Ugh. I prefer to not think about what might potentially be going into their "burgers". GreenEyes has a good point though; I've made decisions on who to avoid working with based entirely on their Matrix traffic.
<<<May Queen>>>

Indeed, it seems that many runners disengage whatever filters they might normally have between their mouths and brains when posting to the boards. Gives you a good look into what they're really like. Of course in Clockwork's case, there's not much difference.

Mouse is a stand-up guy. And I owe him, big time. He came through for me and Artie in a big way.
Frag with him and I'll be on you like white on rice.
<<<GreenEyes>>>

Oh, I'm shaking in my boots here.
<<<Clockwork>>>

...or like ugly on hobgoblin.
<<<GreenEyes>>>

Don't make me come back there!

Oh crap. I just drove by Mouse's squat. Someone set the fragging place on fire!

What the fragging hell?

Looks like the bottom floor is a total loss. Rest of the building has major smoke damage.
<<<SPD>>>

Anyone know if he made it out or not?
<<<FLowerPower>>>

Word is he was seen fleeing the scene, leaving with that skeezy decker he hangs around with sometimes.
<<<CorpusDelecti>>>

That's all I need to know. Thanks.

Could the ShadowSea admins trash this account? I don't know if it's been compromised or not but I'm not taking any chances. I'll create a new one when things settle a bit.

FlowerPower, I'll send you an encrypted message when I can. Please don't do anything rash.

Now now Seamus, you know very well that we had absolutely nothing to do with anything unpleasant that might have hypothetically happened to those responsible.
