Golden Circlet

Golden Circlet

Unread postby viridian » October 17th, 2008, 10:11 pm

Hey, something heavy is going down in Bellevue. I just saw several dozen Crimson Crushers roll up and start shooting up the whole damn building. Anyone know what set them boys off?

Holy frag, someone blew the place up with a truck bomb!
<<<Scorpius>>>

Copy that, Franklin Fire Services is there, but the place looks like a total loss. No word yet on casualties.
<<<FireBug>>>

Lone Star appears to have half the detectives in Seattle on the scene. Might have been some big names in there when it went up.

Lemme get this straight. The Crushers were shooting up the place and then the whole place got fragged? What the drek was going on over there that pissed those orks off that much?

If you got to ask, then you don't need to know. But trust me those fraggers had it coming.

From what I've been hearing come down the line, Lone Star didn't start getting word of what was going on until bystanders outside of the club called in the disturbance. Sounds like to me some enterprising deckhead was capping outgoing calls while the drek was hitting the fan. Whoever was in on this would be wise to keep their heads down for awhile, those tattooed freaks are going to be looking for somebody to skrag.

You are most certainly correct as to the Yakuzas' desired response. I would caution those who might have been showing a somewhat "unhealthy" interest in the Circlet recently to maintain a low profile, even if they had nothing to do with last night's festivities. Perhaps especially if they had nothing to do with it.

I heard that somebody is offering video footage of people behind the attack... at sufficient resolution for positive IDs.

Sounds like somebody is in serious drekking trouble then. The Yaks are going to be foaming at the mouth wanting some payback, and if they get hold of it then the ones identified will be having to dodge some fragging heavy resources.

What kinda nuyen they talking for this info? Should be something worth trading to the yaks.
<<<Boneyard>>>

You'd trade your own drekking mother to the yaks to pay off those debts you owe them, wouldn't you?

Boneyard, I wouldn't try bidding on this to placate them. The Shotozumi-Rengo has already entered a bid with the Caribbean League bank that's acting as the anonymous escrow service. A little birdie told me Oyabun Hanzo Shotozumi is taking a personal interest in finding the people that did this.

The place is, er, was a private club run by the Shotozumi-rengo. Very expensive, very exclusive. The "if you have to ask how to get an invite, you will never get one" kind of exclusive. Some major players in the Metroplex have been seen going in there. The ground floor lobby was decorated in Neo-Japanese-Tea-House style, but the upper floors are anyone's guess. Several Kobun were known to frequent the place, but it's a toss-up as to who was there when it went down. From the looks of things, many of the bodies may be difficult to identify, even with dental records and gene-scans.

Interesting. The auction announcement at JHCCU Escrow Service just disappeared...
<<<Arachnos>>>

Whoa... Johns-Hopkins CCU node looks like a kicked over anthill. They've sent spiders all over the league and a quartet of them just hit the Seattle mesh. Someone is pissed...

Interesting indeed. A similar turn of events occurred within the systems of Mosaic at approximately the same time; it seems that the Vox Populi, among others were quite perturbed as to some action which had taken place. Many users found themselves denied access as spiders and IC swarmed through their SANs.
