(AP) Lone Star officials have confirmed that an Insect Spirit Hive was discovered late last night under a warehouse near the Seattle waterfront. Reports coming back from officers on the scene indicate that the spirits themselves were destroyed, but urge citizens to keep an eye out for any odd manifestations until it is certain that all were destroyed.

"We're staffing up our emergency response teams and activating extra High Threat Response teams to deal with this potential crisis," reports Marjorie Greeley, VP of Public Relations for Lone Star's Seattle bureau. "We at Lone Star urge the law-abiding citizens of Seattle to report any suspicious activity they witness, but to take no action on their own. Lone Star takes its contractual obligations for public safety very seriously, and dealing with such threats is best left to trained professionals."

Early reports suggested that the hive's location was revealed by an anonymous tip, but top officials have since denied that rumor. Sources that wish to remain unidentified laud the work done by Lone Star's Department of Paranormal Investigation in uncovering the hive before it expanded further.

Of course they deny that they might have received an anonymous tip, because then someone else would get the credit for rooting out the insects. Can't have that!
