Massive Explosion Rocks Tacoma Suburb

Massive Explosion Rocks Tacoma Suburb

Unread postby viridian » December 17th, 2008, 9:20 pm

(KSAF) A massive fireball engulfed a coffee shop in residential Tacoma just minutes ago. The cause of the blast is unknown, but Lone Star officers deployed to the scene suggest it is magical in nature.

The entire block appears to be a total loss, along with the lives of an unknown number of people. The only business operating on the scene of the disaster was the the last store in the Caribou Coffee franchise. A favorite haunt of local residents, it was, until today, the only outlet to survive the so-called "Coffee Wars" of the late 2030s.

Well, frag. That was actually one of my preferred sources of caffeinated beverages. They had some of the best lattes there.

<<<Update>>>

Lone Star officials are asking anyone with knowledge of the circumstances of this devastating explosion to please come forward. Metroplex officials are also considering an award for anyone coming forward with information.

There are also unsubstantiated rumors that an unlicensed day care facility may have been in operation in the apartments above the coffee shop. Distraught local mothers are pleading with local officials at this time to be allowed past the barricades erected by Franklin Fire Services.
