Kai groaned, just as he had sealed away his little collection, enough parts for five separate puppets. Looking down at his tracker, he groaned once more.

"Thank you Rika-san," he sighed as he pointed at a random door. "Behind that door is a mass of twenty or more Karakuri who had just arrived." Looking at Shiki he shrugged, "All the other doors also have Karakuri waiting behind them but not as much as the one I pointed out, which boss?"

Yukarin, I don't care what kind of ANBU training you have, there's only one door; we are NOT damaging a valuable archeological site to make more. Understand?

A raised eyebrow was all Shiki got in reply to his statement, however Kai managed to hide his anger at being found out by the man. However, that raised some uncomfortable questions...did the others know? And since when?

"Is there any reason you didn't tell us you were ANBU Kai?

Higure chuckled and shifted to watch Kai. "To be fair, if it's not crucial to the mission, he wouldn't need to say so. Everything ANBU is B-rank secrecy or higher, after all. Pretty sure that one guy from zombie mission was ANBU, and I can see why considering the original mission parameters. But, what would be so important about this mission that ANBU would go undercover, so to speak, particularly rather than Intel?"

Higure casually rests his hands on his pack's strap.

[He knew about Kai being ANBU already, but I'll hold off on explaining how in case it'd come up in story. And yeah, he did know before the shrine, which kinda explains his retorts to Kai from that point onward when I think about it.]

Kai sighed and stretched himself out, "Not sure I can tell you."

This is supposed to be my evaluation, for what though? And anyways, they should have known by now if I had any ill intention to them, so why? Man. It's like Crane-sama just gave me...wait, my skills aren't chuunin level and they did rush me after...then the whole tower thing...damn it, let me just play along with this.

"Shouldn't we get back to the mission anyhow? We still have a lot to do."

Higure-san has a point though...am I just here to recondition myself?

"And anyways Higure-san, when did I become so transparent?

For me it was when we met; ANBU training graduates have a certain way of carrying themselves that betrays Konoha's training regimen. It takes some high-level Ninja, or somebody like myself who's spent a lot of time on battlefields to see through it though.

That's how the Masked Bastard betrayed himself. Well, that and his chakra felt identical and he had no idea I could tell such a thing. Always a plus being a passive sensor type.

oog: referring to Nishiyori I'm guessing? Man, Shiki really has a grudge. Nishi can move/carry himself in different ways, but that's only if the deception is needed.

"Hitokasegi-sensei finds it prudent to let me know when possible if I'll be on missions with current ANBU so it wouldn't affect the team any should the matter come up unexpectedly. I knew before we left."

[As a note, that doesn't include Intel ANBU. So he has no official word one way or the other regarding Nishi.]

(My thoughts were that in order to Hide one's identity as an ANBU, they drill it into the trainees to use a uniform style; but it's to such a point that when they switch to their "normal" style, traces of the ANBU training still show up if you look for them.

But, Ninja are trained to look for clues to get a one-up on their opponent by figuring out how they'll move, not analyze the similarities between two people.)

"If it makes you feel any better Kai I didn't know, I suspected as much but didn't know."

Kai grins, "Thanks, but really guys...we have a lot of stuff to kill."

Kill huh? Maybe that's why he was here.

Since my plans amount to "cut a swath through the Karakuri", if you've got a better one, I'm all ears Yukarin.

At Shiki's question, Kai just shrugged, "Hey, if it ain't broken, why fix it? I mean, your method works, so let's continue on that line." He grinned ferally as he stretched himself, "Anyways, it's all very relaxing."

With that, he walked to the door, unsealing yet more kunai with the tracking seal and looked back to the others, "Shall we gentlemen?"

"I'm ready."

*looks at his lance* Sorry, but even with the second function, I think I'm gonna need something a little different. *lets it slide back into Gate of Babylon, before drawing out what can only be called a Giant Axe-Sword, made entirely of rock* Okay, good to go.

"Eh. I'm mostly seem to be here to clean up what slips by you guys and watch for ambushes or surprises, so yeah. I'm set."

Walking up to the door, ready for anything, he takes one look at it and walks back to Shiki.

"Could you open the door?" He asked, a little embarrassed, "I would, but I have no idea how to do it."

Aye-aye Yukarin. *opens the door*

"Low level demolition tags is always the answer when you don't know how to open a door. Unless, obviously, there's someone there that can open it for you. That way keeps some of the element of surprise."

Kai grinned at Higure and shrugged, "I wasn't going to mention it...Shiki-sempai can be scary sometimes."

The moment the door opened, five Karakuri barged in, only to be pierced by several tracking kunai thrown from a suddenly serious Kai, he threw another kunai past the falling karakuri, which exploded in a flare of pure chakra, briefly disrupting the functions of the other karakuri in the hallway.

Panting a little, Kai straightened, "Right, that's the last time I'll use one of those without prepping it first."

Before Kai's kunai even hit ther targets Rika is peppering the door with fireballs, each one hitting a karakuri.

Unless it scan completely met metal, fireballs won't do much you know... *angles his giant weapon in front of him before charging* Bulldozer~!

"Bulldo..." Kai just sighed and shook his head, "I give up."

Throwing a few kunai and running into the hallway after Shiki, he looked down at his tracking seal.

"Lucky, there are a few more Karakuri left, but they're all spread out."

After making sure there are no karakur that managed to get in the room Rika follows after Kai.
