Team Fail Mission: The "liberation" of Sodegaura

"Right then, that is IT. Akita. I'm pulling you off this damn mission. You've been unable to follow orders to save your life, even the simplest ones possible. Catch up with the mercenaries, and tell them that I decided Miyako needed a medical escort, now. Yoshi, I expect you're going to be following her, correct?"

[ewuvi]

"Of course, dear sir. I do hope you don't get Kojira and Hotaru-chan killed though. The two 'A' ranks? I looked more into them. They're both lightning affinity."

[Tempest Kitsune]

"Kojira and I can handle ourselves, no matter the element we're up against. We're A rankers too. Hotaru, I hate to do this to you, but since our medic isn't worth a damn and the opponents we're going to be evading are so high ranked, I am ordering you to return to Konoha with Akita and Miyako, and give an accurate report to the Hokage. Please make note that I am doing this due both to the danger involved, and because you're the only person right now I can trust to deliver a report to Hanabi-sama without prejudice."

"...and because Hotaru's Jyuuken will mess up Kojira's seals like nobodies business. Possibly worse than Raiton jutsu. Kojira's 'B', for some reason. I'll just ask 'em to fix such an obvious mistake."

(And now I shall pour all of my love into your opponents, as well as scenery and shit. This'll be fun.)

(No no, this is going to be amazing. There will be so many better, more fun missions to be had due to the sheer failure that's about to occur. :D)

Hotaru scowls at being taking off the mission but nods, appreciating the chance to get other people in trouble with the Hokage... I mean report accurately.

"Let's head out then?" Akita leaves the room.

[serbii]

Hotaru follows without looking back.

[Darkandus]

Yoshi scowls, lingering at the door before settling into a neutral expression.

"If you die and your body is recovered can I have one of your eyes?"

He grins before turning away and heading out the door. Not waiting for an anwser.

Akita and the other two clear Market at a run. Once they're on the trail to Konoha, Akita slows to a walk, she's uncharacteristically quiet and she's got a strangely neutral look on her face.

[Darkandus]

Yoshi looks back as Haiiro and Soen lag behind.

He comes to a stop, before sighing.

"Just go home. I don't care anymore."

With a contrite look they disappear.

Yoshi catches back up to Hotaru and Akita.

"Something the matter Hotaru?"

Akita looks at Ryuu carefully, and then a happy look settles on her face and she laughs

"Hey, you know? I've been trying to find a way to do something for a while now, and I think I just found out how!"

[Darkandus]

Ryuusuke raises an eyebrow.

"I can just tell I'm not going to like this."

[ewuvi]

"You'll like it just fine. Now, can you take off your eye-patch?"

[Darkandus]

"Eh, you do realise I'm not wearing my eyepatc...O.k... I can do that."

A massive grin splits his face. He reaches up slipping off the contact lenses covering his eyes. Reavaling them to be completely black, he reaches into the socket of the eye that he lost. Dragging out a black ball that lookes exactly like his actual remaining eye. The blackness drains out of the remaining eye. Revealing it's natural colour. Vast waves of darkness begin pouring from the ball onto the ground. Killing all plantlife in view and quite a bit beyond. Once it pours away Yoshi shudders before putting his hands on his knees and wheezing.

"I assume you want to examine my socket?"

"Yep." Akita touches her the side of her face where he lost his eye and winces in sympathy. Then she steels herself, calls medical chakra to two fingers and quickly jams them into Ryuu's eye-socket, reviving the nerves and vessels and making it bleed.

"Hah, uh sorry, this is gonna take a couple of minutes..."

[AntiNaba]

"Both A-rank, both lightning elements, unknown, dangerous, already attempting to ambush us if they have a clue we're coming..."

Kojira gave his first true smile since he joined the mission, a wide and not entirely sane grin filled with teeth.

"I like it!"

[Darkandus]

Ryuu grabs Akita's forearms.

"What are you doing?"

[ewuvi]

"Fixing you. And me, actually." Akita tugs one arms away from him and brings her hand up to her own face.

"Now comes the scary part."

[Darkandus]

Yoshi grabs her arm again.

"I don't know what you think you are doing but you aren't taking into account the fact that eyeballs grow. Your eye won't fit my socket for another year or two."

[ewuvi]

Akita smiles.

"It will fit now."

and pulls away again and starts to numb that side of her face.

[Darkandus]

Ryuusuke grabs her arms, harder this time. Holding them as hard as he can without hurting her.

"Why would I want to take your eye? You need it more than me. I can pick one up whenever I kill an enemy. I've done it enough times. Besides, you need your depth perception if you are going to fix me up. I have a lot more than eye problems."

[ewuvi]

"Mmmm, too late now. So let me go and let me do this. Also, I won't need to see too well for this, I'm good at healing blind." Akita says firmly.

[Darkandus]

"You silly bint, ripping out your own eye to soothe your ego. I don't care about any stupid mission or your rank. How are you going to protect yourself properly when we are on our journey to fix me?"
