Team TYPI: The First Mission

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

Miyu gets up and goes to answer the door. Silly Hiro-kun left it open again...
"Tatsumaru-san?" she asks, surprised. "I thought we were meeting in an hour?"

"Hello Miyu-san. Change of plans. We're to be at the Hokage tower for a mission briefing by Eight."
Tatsumaru says

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

"That does not leave much time," Miyu notes. She steps out of the house and closes the door behind her.
"Very well then, shall we go?"

Tatsumaru nods.

"Sorry about this. Took longer to get to everyone than I thought. If your ready we'll go."

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

"I am ready," Miyu assures him.

Tatsumaru gives her a smile. He turns and makes his way to the Hokage Tower.

*Hokage Tower, 7:55 A.M*

The team is taken into the tower and escorted to a briefing room by a senior Chunin.

"The mission is simple retrieval. A woman by the name of Maiko Hiranaga has been kidnapped by a gang of bandits near the logging encampment of Eshimo. You'll find the coordinates and general suspected area of the bandit's camp in your mission dossiers, as well as a physical description and picture of the target. Any questions?" The Chunin scans the room with his one good eye.

"Expected level of opposition? How long has Hiranaga-san been captured?" Tatsumaru asks.

"Minimal. 20 to 30 men, at a maximum. All with little to no combat ability, and no chakra training. The response time was exceptionally quick, as of now, she has only been missing for 4 hours."

"Alright. I assume that we are to eliminate the bandits as well?" Tatsumaru says almost...gleeful.

Taru keeps quiet and focuses on the pictures provided in the dossiers instead, letting Tatsumaru do the talking while he studies them intently. Tatsumaru would probably have thought of anything he would already anyway.

The cycloptic Chunin glares at the young man. "Did I *say* elimination was part of the job, Tatsumaru-san? You are to eliminate or disable them only to the extent neccessary to safely return Hiranaga-san to her home in Eshimo, and nothing more."

Tatsumaru ignores the glare.

"Just clarifying."
Tatsumaru thinks for a moment.

"Any Missing ninja in the area we should know about?"

"None. The camp is close to the border with Water Country, however, so Mist nin that "accidentally" overreached the boundaries might be an issue, though it's unlikely."

"Thank you."

Tatsumaru turns to his team.

"Alright team. An hour to get your gear. If you have any other questions ask them now."

Toshizo shakes his head. "No, I'm good. It's all pretty straightforward."

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

Miyu shakes her head as well.
"I have no questions at this time."

Taru shakes his head, mentally running through an equipment checklist.

"Nope I'm good."

T-T-Time for Time Skip

*55 minutes later*

Tatsumaru stood at the gate a small satchel on his shoulders. Overall he knew that this was essentially a shake-down mission. One that barring catastrophic levels of things going wrong would be easy to handle. Still he felt a bit nervous. Hopefully thing would work out. Despite Miyu and Toshizo being somewhat cool towards him. Tatsumaru liked this team and hoped it would work out. Having managed to get here slightly early Tatsumaru concentrated on picking the others out of the crowd

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

"Behind you, Tatsumaru-san."
Miyu is standing about ten feet behind Tatsumaru, watching him with a faintly amused expression.

Tatsumaru turns around.
*Smooth Tatsu*

"Hello Miyu-san. Got everything you need?"

[Aldraia Dragonsong]

"Yes," Miyu replies, sounding faintly insulted.
Does he really think I would come unprepared?

*...And I did something wrong again.*

"Good to hear you didn't have any problems. Have you seen the others?" Tatsumaru sounds faintly apologetic.

Adjusting the strap of his modified quiver, Taru runs through his checklist one last time as he moves along the rooftops toward the gate.

"Pretty sure I have everything. Supply of exploding tags, ink and paper, travel supplies, bow, arrows. Check and check. Yeah I'm good."

Dropping to the road as he nears the gate, he spies Tatsumaru and Miyu waiting nearby, and moves to join them, smiling lightly.

"Hello you two. Guess I beat Toshi here."

Tatsumaru nods and gives a half smile.
"Hello Taru-san. Unless he's in the crowd here yeah, you beat Toshizo-san."
