oog: Have changed the Success Rules for Monthly and other such Actions. You now roll 1d10 for each point you have in a stat, accruing successes on 7 or better. Monthly Actions may also be Locked in, either by the action itself needing a certain amount of time, or by the players deciding to keep a task locked in until it accrues enough successes to complete itself. Check the "Lore" section of Harry's Pokedex for details.
*snicker* I wonder what the story there is.
You actually have access to Logan's Trainer Eye (through his Trainer Card, which is linked in Harry's Trainer Eye), which shows how others react to him. You might find a hint there.

ig:
Contest Difficulty: 8d10=2. Harry's Creativity: 4d10=2 Successes. Mister's Contest Skill: 0d10=0 Successes. !!?!!!?: 1d10=1 Successes
You sign in, and watch the dance routines and other displays. It's... surprisingly dull. A lot of newbie trainers, making this feel more like a school talent show than a Contest... at least from what you've heard of what they're like. You really... haven't watched any, and Mom gets weirdly quiet, or changes the channel, when anything Contest related comes up. Like she has this contempt for it.

Maybe that's why she wasn't very happy about you announcing your intention to join in. You shake your head. It doesn't matter that much.

For a moment, you consider having Sirocco as your contestant... but then you remember he's just as liable to try and beat up the other contestants. So instead, you bring out Mister.

"M-meow?" (Y-yes?)

"You wanna have some fun, Mister?" You ask. He nods. "We're gonna enter into a Pokemon Contest!"

He follows your finger to the stage, and gulps. "M-eo-eo theo..." (Bu-but what if...)

"Don't worry. It's just for fun. Win or lose, it's all about the experience. As long as we don't burn down the stage, I'll call it a good day."

He mews as you give him instructions, hastily putting together a routine using his Scratch attack, some of the props supplied by the contest, and Growl. He's obviously uncertain, but does his best to listen to every word you say. Before you know it, you're called to the stage, and the stereo system starts up the song you've selected, mostly from random from the list they gave you. Mister doesn't have very many special moves and tricks... but he has Scratch, and this is something you've done plenty of with him already.

As the lyrics start up, Mister pounces as you toss out the first of several large balls, and you watch him bounce from ball to ball in midair, riding them up and down, getting warmed up and climbing up to the top, as you start up part two.

You launch an array of ribbons from a popgun, and he cuts them to pieces, confetti scattered across the crowd by the wind in his wake. He stumbles a few times, but... you see something in the small cat that you legitimately haven't seen in him before. Surrounded by the colors, and sending the large balls back to you with a well-placed scratch, only to land on them as you kick them right back to him... there's a sense of pure enjoyment in his eyes his gaze darts about, captivated by the world around him.

(Mister has displayed a hidden passion for Contests! His Contest Skill has risen by 1, and he's received a trait!)

All in all, it's not much better than anyone else's displays, but you think the Judges see that spark, too, because you make it to the top 3 of the Contest with this routine. As they slip a small bronze medal around Mister's neck, he still has a dreamy look on his face. Mom's face has shifted to a rather bittersweet smile.

(Top 3 of the Sevii Spirit Festival 1989 Contest! Award added to your Trainer Card!)
