No surprise there. We should have uploaded the mediafire or something.

Anyone have a copy still on the hard drive?

Please keep working on the audio book.

So!

I just started to listen to Chapter 01 and I must admit, he who spoke first as Kurenai has some fair amount of talent. Definitely fun to listen to.

I hope to see some more though. The audiobook can convey nuances that can't be found in writing.

Couple things:

In general, roll your r's when saying the Japanese words.

The narrator pronounces Hinata's name as "Hinada," while it is likely pronounced with a "t" sound.

Good stuff, though.

In Japanese, you don't roll your r's. Not unless you're a tough currently asserting your masculine dominance and possibly looking for a fight. Yakuza roll their r's a lot. (Good discussion on this point.)

The standard Japanese r, as described in the link above, is different than the English r. More like half way between l and r. It may also be a lateral alveolar flap, but it's kind of hard for me, as an English speaker, to appreciate exactly how I would know or what it would mean. And the literature seems conflicted on the issue.

Hinata is definitely pronounced with a t sound.

Hope this helps.

I'm wrong. Ignore my stupidity. I meant to say that. I mis-described it.
