If you are not familiar with the source materiel, Sparks, especially strong Sparks, tend to warp the laws of reality when they prove too inconvenient. Given what you see in the comic, I wouldn't be suprised if someone actually did weaponize a color.

Summoning historical figures might be interesting, and serve as incentive for Naruto to brush up on his history, yes? (I see him gravatating towards the Badass of the Week bits though. Hmmm...) Still, summoning Leonardo da Vinci in the middle of a fight might seem like a waste, until one remembers that one of his lesser known feats was unbending horseshoes with his bare hands. Just sayin'.

Wasn't there an arc or someing in the Anime where Naruto and some others were looking for some missing people, and it turned out they were trapped in a castle that was a giant lizard summon? Or would that lead to the same problem as with toads (ie they'll cripple Shino)?

Although, since Haku is alive and well, he would probably like the Rabbit contract.
