Leslie Nielsen dead at age 84

That's right people, a comedic legend has slipped away from us and gone on to meet his preceding fellows. Best known for his role as the doctor in Airplane! and Frank Drebin in the Naked Gun trilogy, he has a career spanning from the late 1950s right up to his death.

He was in the hospital due to pneumonia and passed away earlier today.

This guy was one of my favorite actors in his older films. Truly comedy's lost one of the greats...

Airplane! is one of my favorite movies. It's sad to hear he is gone. He will be missed.

And to continue the trio of deaths, director Irvin Kershner died at age 87. His works include The Empire Strikes Back and Robocop 2.
