Have at it how? do we post tracks or music videos or just say what bands we're into right now?

Because you left me with so little to go with I'm going to make it up

Format:
What I'm currently chilling to: Flobots, Andy Hunter and Nujabes,
What I used to chill to :Sabaton, Hammerfall, Trapt, Billy Talent, Johnny Cash
What I've always enjoyed: Linkin Park
What's my guiltiest Pleasure Currently: Cascada (It's for the beats I swear!)

What's my most disliked Genre of Music:Gangster Rap/Showtunes (depends on the day)

Everything and Anything.
If it even vaguely has to do with music.

Hmm, I was going to put the demo for the new vocaloid up but youtube's blocked it. Annoying.
Here's the base voice (the voice actor)

Even this?

I love showtunes, but I also rarely go a day without Metallica, so I like a lot of different stuff. I could go on and list a lot of artists and groups I like (maybe later), but here's something you might not have heard.

Chillaxation mix track (funny, I don't listen to any of the bands on it, but I like the mix):

Kylie Minogue - Wow
Daft Punk - One More Time
Darude - Sandstorm

I have a challenge!
Can anyone find a more depressing song than 'Passage' by Vienna Teng?
(she has some gorgeous songs)

Lyrics:
Spoiler: show
I died in a car crash two days ago
was unrecognizable
when they pulled me from the gears
no one's fault, no one's bottle
no one's teenage pride or throttle
our innocence is all the worse for fears
the other walked away alive
arms wrapped now around his wife

my lover sits, the silent eye
in a hurricane of warmth and word
my mother trembles with the sobs
whose absence seems absurd
my sister shouts to let her see
through the cloud of crowd surrounding me
my colleagues call for silence in my name

I died in a car crash three months ago
they burned me until I glowed
and crumbled to a fine gray sand
now I am nothing, everywhere
several breaths of strangers' air
and all thoughts ever written in my hand
they plant my tree out in the yard
it grows but takes the winter hard

my lover holds a knife to wrist
says tomorrow comes, hold on a while
my mother tosses in the sheets
and dreams me holding my own child
my sister plays our homemade tapes
laughs as tears run down her face
my office door now wears a different name

I died in a car crash four years ago
my tree drinks melted snow
just eight feet tall a pale and fragile thing
bee stings beaches bright vacations
sunburnt high-school graduations
a sparrow healing from a broken wing
this year a glimpse of second chances
tiny apples on my tree's branches

my lover hears the open wind
and crawls blinking into the sun
my mother leafs through photographs
and thinks "yes she was a lovely one"
my sister can't decide her truth
asks aloud what I might do
in a conference hall my brief efforts engraved

I died in a car crash
a lifetime ago it seems
a decade or two or three
they've come out with a new design
bars and bags front and behind
my fate now an impossibility
safely packaged hurtling down
the highway hardly make a sound

my lover very much alive
arms wrapped now around his wife

I like that version of sandstorm, and the video is making me want to watch the whole series over again.

Right, Let's do this thing.

What I'm listening to right now.

Here's the music they keep playing on the radio that I hate so much I wish I could set whoever made it on fire with my mind.

My love for Ennio Morricone's music has no bounds. Here's four of my favourites.
Spoiler: show
Both versions of this song are good, and I couldn't decide which to pick, so have both.
Spoiler: show
I could probably do a bunch of sections filled with dozens of videos, but instead I'm gonna just grab ten at random and do a more detailed list sometime later.
Spoiler: show
As for your your challenge Serbii, I don't think I have anything that can top that. But I offer these three songs in the attempt.
Spoiler: show
Lyrics for Be Human, because it can be a little hard to understand.
Spoiler: show
I analyze and I verify and I quantify enough
one hundred percentile
no errors, no miss
I synchronize and I specialize and I classify so much
don't worry 'bout dreaming
because I don't sleep
I wish I could at least 30 percent
maybe 50 for pleasure
then skip all the rest
if I only was more human
I would count every single second the rest of my life
if I just could be more human
I'd have so many little babies and maybe a wife
I'd roll around the mud
and have lots of fun
then when I was done
build bubblebath towers and swim in the tub
sand castles on the beach
frolic in the sea
get a broken knee
be scared of the dark and I'd sing out of key
cuss when I lost a fight
kiss and reunite
scratch a spider bite
be happy with wrinkles I got when I smiled
pet kittens til they purred
maybe keep a bird
always keep my word
I'd cry at sad movies
I'd laugh til it hurt
I'd buy a big bike
and ride by the lake
and I'd have lots of friends
and I'd stay out late
if I could just be more human
I would see every little thing with a gleam in my eye
if only I was more human
I'd embrace every single feeling that came in my life
would I care and be forgiving?
would I be sentimental and would I feel loneliness?
would I doubt and have misgivings?
would I cause someone sorrow, too?
would I know what to do?
will I cry when it's all over?
when I die will I see heaven

Can't go wrong with Johnny Cash.

Well, might as well put in my contribution. Not going for depressing here.
Also, I have to punch you, jgkitarel, because I spent a lot of time on the nanoha wiki trying to locate information on mages being trained due to being above a certain rank, only to remember and confirm that you were the one that came up with that. - Phht

I declare that piece of music to be awesome.

As for depressing songs, as oppossed to simply melancholic, these would be serious contenders:

I have no real genre preferences and don't listen to music that often. (Mostly because I tune in to a news/commentary radio.) Still, there are several songs that stuck in my memory. (Sometimes quite deep in my memory as evidenced by 'Recognize that song' requests over at the Insanity thread.)

Still listening to the others there.

I really like this song.

I'm a big fan of BNL. Too bad they lost half their singing talent.

Embarrassingly enough, I have more or less fallen in love with Tangled, and so I'm kind of on a Disney kick lately.

This is a cool thread. Thanks for making a good place to come and listen to music. Maybe I'll hunt down some classical stuff later. Nodame Cantabile made me like that too.

Been listening to this far more then is probably healthy for my psyche, given that I've attributed certain personally negative real-world events to the song's melody. Still stands as an excellent piece, regardless.
