AMVs are a bit of a hobby of mine, usually when I get bored I'll pop on YouTube and go poking around for AMVs for various series. Most of the ones I have saved are Naruto based. Some of you undoubtably have seen these before but what the hay, right? I can't be the only one that has a few favorites and I'm curious to see others favorites as well as potentially increasing my own bookmarked Favorites.

If It's on youtube, I will immediately think it's crap unless it's also on animemusicvideos.org. Half the time, people who post such things on youtube won't even bother to obtain RAWs of whatever it is they're using.

Great song, couldn't really care less about the anime though. I will say the the female protagonist doesn't seem to have a rugged enough look to go with that of a trained killer.

Interesting. I'm inclined to believe WoW.

You see, I am personally responsible to spreading around that word. I didn't make it, but the girl who did, I knew. I asked her if she ever used it anywhere online, and she said no, and I liked it so I started using it, and have personally tried to cultivate its spread. I tried to get all my friends to use it, and it just so happens that many real life friends play world of warcraft.

I first heard it from her years and years ago (maybe around 4 or 5 years I suppose), and I still don't hear it often, but when I do I have to smile and think "I did that".

So one day, when poking fun at and teasing my wife over one thing or another, I declared whatever it was to be awesomesauce. She absolutely hated the word (silly English major) which naturally has caused me to use it many many more times in her presence. I then used it in front of my 'negsauce' friend, who proceeded to use it on some online forums, and who knows where it went from there ;)

The process of independent invention at work ;)

I'm inclined to agree. I distinctly remember creating the phrase "Delusions of Adequacy" when playing the dozens with my dad when I was a teenager. But I've since heard it crop up other places, and I'm not egocentric enough to think I'm the only one to think of punning off of "Delusions of Grandeur".

Not so much an ANIME music video, but a cool video none the less in spite of the obvious choreography. This video is a fan-made battle between Square Enix characters and the girls from Dead or Alive. Cheesy in the same way as Advent Children.

Interesting. I've never discounted the possibility of other independent invention of the word, but so far I've never seen somebody say it who I couldn't trace back (even if it's only a likely trace and not definitive) to the original person who said it, usually through me. In some cases, I ended up finding friends of friends that way.

And I'm an English major...I loved Awesomesauce.

Please read what I said. I outright stated that I didn't discount the possibility, only that I'd never seen it before. AND, I clearly said that I was not the one who first said it, only that I made it a mission to try and spread it around because I liked it.

I agree that the Dead Fantasy stuff is kick butt. Watching it the second time let me pick up on a lot of stuff I missed the first time. I've also been enjoying some of the other video's people have been listing. Thanks!
