Exo-skeletons are years old technology, and we have the ability to manipulate nerves through surgery now that allows people without a limb to move a mechanical one with thought.

You know what this means, correct? In our lifetime, we will have, these!

Yeah, but apparently mortar shells are sufficient in taking out most variable exoskeleton prototypes, making mechs and the like almost nil feasibly. On Earth. In Space, on the other hand, where using missiles and burst weapons is a Bad Idea... now you're on to something.

Oh, speaking of cool stuff! A whole bunch of my Order of the Stick Christmas ornaments came in the mail today! I got this year's regular variant, and it's 'battle' variant plus all the backlog of ornaments I never had before (2004 - 2010) :yay: Still waiting on my 2008 ornament with Xykon, Redcloak and Santa and my Elan & Belker 2004 ornament but they should be coming soon. When they come, I'll have to take pics to share on the board 'cause they're so awesome. :B

So, after 8 weeks of solid essays/reading/drinking/procrastinating + some extra (paid) work for kicks, I am back from university! Apologies to anyone who was following my FE LP, I will get an update up for that when I can. Other than that, it's good to be able to spend time with you guys again!

Now to catch up on all the quest posts I missed...

But why is there a Mewtwo shown in the warring states period...

Someone made a booboo and forgot Mewtwo is a clone. Or they just didn't care.

Ah that explains things.

I'm currently on holidays for 3 weeks, but I'm not home, and my internet access is 4GB of 3G on a netbook. So I probably won't be posting much, I will be on skype at unusual-for-me hours and I'll update things at some point.

No internet, and no fourth amendment either. Man, for one of the most do nothingeness congresses ever, they sure are busy.

Well, you know, election year is coming up. Gotta keep Big Business and lobbyists happy to get the massive funding and all. ;)

It sounds to me like the biggest flaw with the bill is that it's so broadly defined that it could be easily misinterpreted for nefarious purposes. If they fix that maybe this wouldnt be such a terrible thing?

Any law that makes the major media companies happy is probably bad. Why? Because the media companies, no matter what they would like you to think, do not make their money from creating media. From creating art. They make their money by playing tollmaster. By controlling the avenues you use to enjoy art. The video makes a very astute point when it says that the thing the companies most hate about youtube is not its ability to enable piracy (bittorrents are way more effective at that anyway), but it's ability to connect artists directly to customers, thus cutting out the companies who only exist as distribution middlemen. And that *is* all these companies are. Distribution middlemen. More or less all of the value they bring to the equation, and thus, all their power and potential money, has been destroyed by the internet. That's why they hate the internet. That's why they desperately want to kill it and spend huge amounts of money pushing absurd laws that do nothing to help society or artists.

So no, there's really nothing good about the law proposed. At all.

Unfortunately Zank, almost none of them have seats in Congress.

True, but if you are in the US, you can write your Congressmen and tell them not to support the bill. Sure, it might not help, but it very well good, provided people put effort into it, and don't make it a simple form letter. And while I think the overwhelming public hatred for the bill will prevent it from passing, the NDAA passed and that allows for indefinite detention of US citizens without a trial.

In related news, the RIAA and Homeland Security have been caught downloading torrents.

On facebook, I think I may have just seen the best possible response to the announcement of the death of a pet.

"She will wait for you at the rainbow bridge!"

Ain't no comfort like Norse comfort. Now, this is made even better by the fact that the person whose pet died is extraordinarily Christian.

That seems more pointlessly passive-aggressive than funny to me. Because, ya know, mocking is exactly what someone needs after a pet dies.

I find the remark annoying and insensitive, in case it seems I was being to passive aggressive in my response.
