Fear and Rumormongering Alleged after Sighting of Sirius Black

-Adolphus Milthwhispe, Special Correspondant for the Daily Prophet

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Magic, Minsiter Fudge admits that he is “shocked and dismayed” regarding the wildly exaggerated events reported in the popular press. “While I don’t expect much from such shoddy publications,” he continued, “this borders on the libelous. I’ll be consulting with Ministry solicitors regarding possible legal action.”

looks like the ministry are still at it. BTW have you heard any news from Ruskbyte? ITs been like two years since we’ve heard *anything* from him.

  2. Well it looks like Harry’s prediction about the media smear campaign is correct and starting. But the fact is that children from the Houses besides Slytherin aren’t going to automatically believe Fudge. Especially since Fudge is going to have to prove that there was a Sirius Black sighting at the quidditch match and give evidence and not just his word. Then there is the fact that both Harry and Professor Dumbledor drove off the Dementors through the use of a Patronus charm, thereby protecting the students (some Slytherian parents might believe like other parents but are stuck due to favours owed to people like Lucius Malfoy so they have to keep quiet).

Unfortunately for Fudge, using Dementors and the incident that happened won’t help him due to how wizards and witches hate them (and I assume that even applies to most Slytherins).

Can’t wait til it comes out (too bad life gets in the way of your writing this).
