I just wrote something that turned out kind of depressing. Well. Sort of.
Oh yeah, I’m very coherent at quarter to seven am.
Got an idea of how to make this scene in Team 8 really work… and I’m glad I’m past that roadblock… but it was really hard to write. It’s something I’ve sort of had planned for a while now. Even had it on the outline and everything. But getting the details *just* right and making them all fit together was unexpectedly challenging. And now I have this emotional… surge?… to deal with. Blah.
I think I’m going to go lie down and pull the covers over my head now. At least I posted some good progress tonight/this morning. Even if I pay for it when I get up for work in a few hours.
Glad to hear it’s up and running again! Good luck completing the chapter! I know what it’s like working something to death until you have it right, and it’s no picnic. You have support from my corner!

Ah, the joys of writing until your brain explodes. You have a very descriptive, while not overwhelming style so I can see how it would be difficult to get a chapter to seem just right. The end product is beautiful so keep up the good work.

hey i’ve read all of team eight thats been posted so far and it’s gr8 but i was just wondering whats the holdup on chapter 20?

I know what its like to have a story “go on hold”. My Mother died, I spent four months in the hospital, then my computer crashed. I had to pay medical bills, after insurence, then buy a new computer.
You just have to have patience, if he was going to flat out quit, I think he would have ssid so.

I think there is inconsistency in chapter 18 “Team 8” and 17 about weights.
In ch 17 in Gaara fight:
“Naruto flashed forward, his weights left on the ground behind him.”
After that there is no time and mention that he reequip them (also there would be no logic in doing that – middle of invasion)
Ch 18:
“When Naruto reached the forest floor, he switched to horizontal travel
without slowing. Once he was no longer flirting with free-fall, a quick
thump to his weight releases sped him up until the greenery at the edges
of his vision blurred”

I just reviewed NoFP, but I was interested in Team Eight’s progress since that was what originally got me into your fiction, and I must say that I’m impressed as well.
I checked your site in early January, and you had barely 600 words. Now you’ve got 7602, and I’m quite envious of your ability to write so much (I shoot for 8000 because otherwise, the chapters are just too long – I don’t know how to stop yet lol). Still, I’m excited to see more of that coming up soon, and I hope more NoFP as well.
By the way – can you recommend any good Naruto What-If fics (like how Team 8 is a what if Naruto was on Team 8) or any good Harry Potter travel fics (similar to NoFP)?
Are you planning on updating NOFP? My friend got me really obsessed with it, only she neglected to mention it was not complete.. 🙁 It is really really amazing! Please update!
