Chapter 19 of Team 8 is going up now…

Shino and Naruto accept a mission. then Naruto spends time with Hinnata who still hasn’t recovered all the way and can’t go on a b class. Under the eye of Jeriya, Shino, Naruto, and a temporary, new member of the team, Haku, are sent to the nation of sand to help the recovery after the death of the kohakage. This is also so Naruto doesn’t hear all the protests of his passing the exam. So while on the trip Naruto practices his new technique. As they walk through the desert Jeriya has him blow up a water balloon. Then he has to blow up a rubber ball. Then not blow up an air balloon. At this point the Kuuybi’s chakra is interfering too much. He had been able to tune it out when he learned to walk on water so he was surprised when he wasn’t able to for this. After he tells Jeriya about this, Naruto and Jeriya talk of Kuuybi. And decide to develop Naruto’s control over it. Naruto is astonished that he was supposed to control Kuuybi. But he thinks he might be able to. Once they get there they do pretty much nothing. Here Gaara is still figuring out what it is to have someone you care for. His siblings are the main subject. Naruto finds he can’t focus the chakra enough for the rasingan. Kuuybi’s chakra keeps interfering. So he can’t master it. Until a last missing ninja appears and attempts to raise an army of stone solders at this point Naruto sets another clone to shape it while he puts the chakra in. he defeats the missing ninja. But too late the army has been raised. They defeat even Jeriya and are fighting every one. But Gaara can’t help he is afraid he might give over to his demon again. Soon everyone is wiped out and Naruto in beat down thinking Naruto has been killed Haku forces Shino to grab Jeriya’s unconscious body and run. Naruto see’s them running and thinks they will die if they aren’t backed up soon. Even Gaara’s siblings are being defeated. Finally he finds Gaara and hit him telling him to snap out of it. “They need our help. Are you going to let everyone who care about you die?” he and Gaara combine powers. He and his clone make rasingan and Gaara waves his arms in wider sweeps above the rasingan as he puts his sand in it to make sand storm rasingan. Haku covers Shino with his ice. And they can see Naruto clones dropping on the stone solders in the storm. And it is only Naruto’s amazing regeneration that keeps him from being worn away by the sand as the soldiers are. Once done, they are thanked and sent home, as they completed the mission.

But team seven just failed another mission. Kiba is angry at Sasuke for killing one of their opponents, after he was going to surrendered with, his new chidori. When his seal activated Kiba tried to fight but Sasuke didn’t want to lose to another bothersome weakling. He strikes Kiba. “Don’t interfere again. I will deal with him. And I will do it myself.” Even with his seal activated he fought. And this time he seemed stronger as if he was pulling strength from the curse. Using his chidori, he killed the man even as he began to surrender. Now Kiba was looking for any reason to fight Sasuke and prove he was stronger and would have succeeded in the mission if Sasuke had not been so stuck up and let him help. Sakura had felt useless through the whole thing. Now she asks to join in the training that Naruto and Lee were doing. If it made the dead last so strong it might make her useful to her team.

Hinnata is ecstatic about the return of her team, and has finally recovered enough to train, but without the weights. She had missed them a lot but she swore to be healed when he returned. So the Kurenai and she worked together long and hard to recover. She helps Naruto and Jeriya try to teach Naruto to control the demon fox. She and Naruto also join Lee and Sakura in training again and Naruto tells all about the mission but leaves out the parts about Kuuybi. For some reason he just doesn’t believe Sakura would take it very well. But Sakura knows that he is keeping something back. By the way he pauses and they all look at him as if they know what. And it is like a big secret being kept just from her. Was it because of the way she treated him at the academy. Was that why he would not tell her? She would ask kakashi and he tells her that yes she probably blew her chances at learning of the great usumachi secret at the academy, but no he would not help her figure it out. Was it about the red chakra she saw at the exam? Could he have some blood line that made him dangerous? That would explain why people acted so rude about him. And Hinnata feels some joy that Naruto keeps it secret from his old crush, but had told her. She feels like sticking her tongue out at Sakura because she has more of Naruto then Sakura has of either Naruto or Sasuke. Inside she thinks maybe she is better at being a girl than Sakura. But she remembers that odd comment he made about her being like a boy instead of a girl during the mission to pull weeds. And winds up mad because maybe it was her being bad at acting like a girl that was the reason Naruto was her friend. She wonders if Naruto even thinks of her as a girl. Lee tries to get Sakura’s attention again. But this time she is nice about it when she said no. so nice that Lee thinks he has plenty chance with her. Naruto asks him if he ever new Naruto to give up on anything. No, Lee had never heard of that. Naruto usumachi never gives up on anything. Well he gave up on Sakura. They get in an argument and Lee tries to prove to Naruto that Sakura was nicer now. Sakura, having been trying to eavesdrop and see what that big secret was, heard this bad conversation about her as well. This time though, she thinks back to not just how she had turned him down but how he had persisted even after. And she sees that he was right he didn’t give up on anything but her. Now she decides to make it up to Naruto for all the bad things she did. And she hopes he might forgive her. Soon Naruto is trying to decide if he still likes her. Hinnata is getting jealous though and tries to become more like a girl. She thinks back to when her ‘special training had left her a wreck. Ayame had taught her how to use make up. She asks Ichiraku’s daughter to help her.

“I.. um ..I. I… I want.. Um ‘she starts to point her fingers together as she is nervous.’ I want Naruto to …um notice me..” “But he notices you every day you two seem to go every ware together.” “That’s not… um.. How I…’ she starts to blush so bad her face is ALL red. This is not lost on Ayame who begins to look at her funny’ I.. Want.. Um.. I want him to notice me as .. A .. um .. As a girl’ she finally said it. The last part rushing out. Giggling, Ayame agrees, and asks what all Hinnata already knew. It seemed that she had not been taught much about acting like a girl

Orichimaru decides he needs the sharingan to defeat the third this time. So he takes Sasuke, Sooner than he had planned. He sends out his minions, knowing that Sasuke is in a bad state.

Sasuke and Kiba get in to another argument, and Kiba tells him that he is no good at being a ninja. And if he really thinks he can have that vengeance he always pouts over then he is a fool. At this Sasuke gets angry. And blows up a shop with his fire jutsu in an attempted to hurt Kiba for his insult

He then leaves and broods. ‘How could this happen. Even the dead last had beaten him. Naruto was now a chunin. His team had fallen apart. Kiba and kakashi blamed him for all the failed missions. And worse it was his fault they failed. Now he lost his temper. He destroyed the shop. It seems that no matter how hard he can train. It just does no good. He can’t get kakashi to train him more. It was doing nothing. He just stayed weak.’

It couldn’t be a coincidence that 5 strange ninjas come to his house and gave him an offer. He remembered the ninja oruchimaru. At first he had fought the seal on him but during his last mission he found that it was one thing that made him stronger. But he still was a ninja of Kanoha. And they had invaded. He attacked and lost. The fight left his house in ruins. As they left they told him of how his goal would be lost if he remained here as an ordinary WEAK ninja.

He had been convinced. He gathered his things and destroyed the rest of the house.

Sakura and Kiba had seen the fires at the uchila place and didn’t wait to take action. Kiba went to the path leading out of the village and Sakura went to Sasuke’s house. She was too late. He had left. So she followed him to the exit and saw Kiba and him fighting immediately went to stop them. But in the end she was only able to save Achimaru from the fire ball. Kiba however is burned badly. Achimaru goes to him and starts yelping. Sasuke runs as the commotion had to have brought someone. She now decides to chase after him. Kiba would get help. They were coming. Sakura follows just to keep Sasuke safe. She knows he wouldn’t let her come but when the others come out. She is caught. At first she fights them. But only a minute and she is left hurt. She still gets back up and tries to talk to Sasuke. She tells him she would do anything for him. And he tells the others to move out. Then she grabs him and asks that if he won’t stay. Then he should take her with him.

The others attack her again. And after she loses her nerve and breaks down they seal her and bring her with them as Sasuke wouldn’t let them kill her. “She wanted to go with me. I will allow her to follow. She may be of some use later”

Kiba had been saved, and reported what had happened. 3rd was furious that he hadn’t prevented this. He had known oruchimaru would attack again. But he had not thought that the uchila boy would deliberately turn his back on Kanoha. He had also known that oruchimaru would try to take him but he never thought it would be this soon.

He immediately called in the two new chunins. And gave them permission to recruit any lower ninja not on a mission. Shickamaru of course automatically went to Choji’s house. Naruto sent out his clones to find Shino, Haku, and grab Lee. When he found Lee and Gui training Tenten was with them for once. Well the weapons might be handy. And one clone left a message to sensei and Hinnata about the mission. As they are heading out, Niji came running up to request to join. Neji has healed, but he is still a little weak and he intends to make amends for his failure at the exam buy bringing in the uchila brat. No one is happy he is along. But his white eyes help much more than their complaints. Naruto vouches. At that no one felt they had a right to complain.

They form a plan, Shino and his allies can track. So they must be up front. He will be followed by shickamaru so he can give all of them directions, with hand symbols. Next is choji who has brute power. If they need to fight head on he can plow through the opponent. Then is Naruto he is in the middle so he can guard every one with his shadow clones. After him is Haku and tenten beside each other as full back up and Lee next because he and Haku are fast enough to turn and face rear assault instantly and last is Niji. He will use his white eyes to watch the rear as that is the best way to protect it.

Naruto and shickamaru in charge, Shino, shickimaru, choji, Naruto, ten ten, Haku, Lee, and Neji, are almost gone. But Kiba shows up all wrapped in bandages. Kiba tries to make peace with Naruto now and because he can’t go to bring back his teammates, he wants Naruto to promise he will bring them back.

While moving they worked out several strategies for when they caught up. And they avoided the many traps that seemed to be set without slowing down their prey.

When they do catch up, they are somehow surrounded. Shickamaru uses shadow mimicry, and catches all of them. At the same time Shino sets his allies to take all their chakra, And Haku freezes their legs to the ground. They don’t see sasuke but Sakura is folded over bone guy’s shoulder. And one guy is carrying a large barrel. Niji uses his eyes to look in it and just barely sees the traps in time to warn every one. Blades fly in from everywhere. Naruto sets plenty of clones to block shicamaru so he doesn’t need to let go of the prey. And Haku covers lee and tenten with his ice. Choji’s armor protects him. And Shino becomes a mass of bugs with blades sticking out. However the ninja’s soon over power shickamaru’s jutsu with their curse seals and attack anyway. Lee choji and tenten are covered in a web. Haku is hit with a bone strike. Shickamaru and Niji are sent down with a vast amount of sound. And Naruto is bombarded with stones. Then all of them but Shino are covered in a dome of rock. Outside they can hear an argument. The fat guy wanted to drain them. But the others said they didn’t go past level 1 so they don’t need replenished. he should kill them quickly and let them be going. The fat one said he would catch up and they could leave without him.

At this shickamaru has Niji do a scan of the wall sure enough. It was sucking their chakra away. So Naruto said it didn’t matter he could get them out. A clone appears and they start on the rasingan. But it won’t work. Neither does anything else. lee hits it and it regenerates. They need to think on it, shickamaru states. Cutting the others out of the web proved more difficult than expected. It finally took Niji’s chakra slices to get them out. Then they form a plan since they wasted time here they would have to split up and catch up. when they got out, Tenten would summon all her weapons as soon as the wall broke, she and choji would stay. But to get out they needed to find a week point. Lee and several clones of Naruto provided that as they decimated the walls. Then like with the sand Gaara’s monster hand Naruto set out a chakra pulse which dazed the walls power. At the same time Niji used soft boxing to the point they would break out to divert what little chakra there to another spot. And then as lee and Haku used their speed attacks to damage the wall so it needed regenerated. More than it could choji blasted through the wall with his meat tank.

As soon as they were free tenten summoned her weapons and started using them. A dozen clones came at the guy from all directions and choji enlarged to fight.

Shino had placed the bugs on them so when he joined they were able to take off and follow.

Mean while Hinnata finds the note to her and sensei. She had been left behind. Was she still too weak to fight? Was she useless? She packs her gear and runs for it. She is headed to find the others and help.

As they fight the fat guy shows he is quite skilled at tai. But he does the most damage when he uses a rock wave. He destroys the ground, and throws giant boulders at them. As he does this he brags and insults them. Finally he calls chuji a fat pig. Chuji enlarged fights with him like nothing before forcing him to go 2nd level. The guy has become too strong to handle like this. All of tenten’s weapons bounce off. And the clones are all wiped out. Finally choji grabs him in a struggle hold and tenten ties them both down. Choji tells her to use the last tool she brought. It was last attack, but to use it she would impale choji as well as the fat ninja. Choji tells her “go on and do it or we both die.” She asks him to forgive her, he nods.

As they chase, Niji comments on their advantage. The others are slow to pick up on it. He states that there have been no traps so the ninjas must think that the fat one would have been enough to handle them all.

They decide to do a hinge of him. But who would do it? In the end Naruto would do it, because his were the tricks of the village pariah.

Just before splitting Niji gives something to Naruto “remember the time when Lee got drunk at the restaurant. Well he fought much better. And if he needs a little help then I’m sure Gui sensei would approve of him using this ‘ he makes a quotation symbol with his hands ‘ to boost his flames of youth” Naruto opens the lid and sniffs. Wine. More importantly, Alcohol. Naruto remembered Lee’s drunken monkey fighting. It was the first time Lee had ever hit Niji. It was quite an idea to spike him in the battle.

The fat ninja caught up to them at last. “’What took so long” “one of them had an extraordinary amount of chakra. I had to give up and just kill that one normally.” “”Well I don’t really care just take the barrel.” “Fine, I am fully recharged anyway.” The barrel is tossed to him. But bone ninja jumps back and grabs it tossing down Sakura he throws the barrel to split, who takes off. He grabs Sakura and runs as well. And spidy webs the fat ninja. Puff, the clone vanishes and outcome Lee and Haku. Moving fast they send the girl sprawling into a shadow trap and are hit with web. Puff they arereplaced by clone who also vanish. Niji had already convinced them his soft boxing was the only thing to defeat the spider with. He took on the spider as soon as they met driving him back away from the two teams. And shickamru leads the girl on a wild goose chase. The others were already moving after sasuke and Sakura.

Hinnata arrived at the battle site to see tenten tending to choji. Choji was hurt badly and their opponent was dead. She gave her medicine and instructions to tenten before continuing the chase.

Kakashi and sensei were rushing to catch up. Hinnata only had an hour’s lead but she moved so much faster than she used to. Even with the dogs out kakashi was having trouble tracking her at this speed.

Niji hits him with everything he has demolishing him but when the fury of his attack slows he sees that he is hitting a golden surface; it was some sort of armor. He had thought that only his soft boxing could defeat this guy. But now he saw no way to hit him. As the armor fell off the man started monologueing telling Niji how he had failed. He was just buying time to think. Niji rushed him again trying to find a spot unguarded. Nothing. The spider got away. He was hiding somewhare. A blade drops from above him. As he jumps out of the way he sees several golden spikes come from the opposite direction. He doges those barely. Only to have many, many, more come at him from all sides. He turns and begins the kaitien. The spikes all bounce off and cling into the dirt. He uses his sight as far as he can until he finds spidy and sends an armload of weapons at him. As he runs to bring him in to close combat. Spidy jumps and turns dodging all of the blades. And then drops down to the ground. He was using the curse again. He sends an onslot of spikes at Niji and summons a giant chakra spider. As Niji’s kaiten blocks all the spikes the thing shoots something out and this grows. Spidy swings up and slices it. Now Niji is using the kietien to block off all mini spiders. His kiatien seems to be becoming sluggish. It was the webs. They were interfering with his kaitein. He could only doge the spike that came at him this time. And it still gave him a glancing blow to the arm. He would have to hit them all one by one. He began 8 d 64 p more came down he was now this time he dodged all of the blades sent as well. All but one, which hit him in the back. Somehow out of his field of vision. Spidy had discovered the secret of the white eyes.

Naruto, lee, Shino, and Haku, fallow the last two. Once they catch up Haku sets a barrior of ice over split as Shino’s allies strike. Lee and Naruto speed in and use tie on the bone one. Clones taking Sakura and setting her down. As they fight the bone one pulls blades out of his own flesh. But lee and Naruto push him back. Naruto’s clones duck in the ice and set to getting the barrel. Finally they throw the split over a cliff and take the barrel to follow Sakura’s set of clones. He leaves those two and a few clones to drop down and take care of split.

Hinnata is runnig faster than she ever had. Without the waits she had wore she sped through the trees. She had never tried to see just how fast she could run without them. And she still hadn’t got back up to the wight she had before the exam. She find another fight had took place. But this one seemed to still be going. She followed the damage of the woods till her white eyes spot it. There was only one opponent and Niji. Niji is hurt badly. He was surrounded by big spiders and several spikes stuck out of him. The opponent was insulting Niji and talking about a game being over. Hinnata nails him with her 64 punches, Only to see that he had covered himself with a golden crust. Hinnata leaped down to Niji, who had stood, when she attacked. He told her she was too weak to compete with this man. Even he couldn’t fight back. Hinnata scolds him and tells him that she would not give up. Niji sees the exams for a moment. She stands there after he had beat her worse than anyone should be able to take and move. Still demanding to be put on her place. But had he not just done the same? He had gotten back up to fight even when the spider had told him that he couldn’t win. He didn’t give up just because someone told him to. But there was a difference. She was defeated and still got back up.

Spidy gloated that he had a new player to play with. And released more of the spiders. Niji just couldent believe it when she screamed kiatien and began moveing so fast that even his wight eyes had trouble following her movements. She was sweeping her arms in every angle and moving her body so gracefully he thought she couldn’t be that same little wimp he had to compare himself to. And more suprising was the result she had created a perfect kietien. Even better than his by sending direct slices in every angle. She cut away everything that came near her. Then the spidy said it was time to finish the game and dropped the giant spider on her.

Niji jumps in front of the arrow and sends chackra up it killing the spidy

Hinnata saves Niji’s life leaving him thinking hard on just what he had done wrong when he tried to kill her.

Bang. The barrel exploded, wiping out most of Naruto’s clones. Sasuke is standing in the center. The other Naruto clones start to tell him what is going on. When he moves, He kills all the clones and grabs Sakura, who had been awakened by the blast, then takes off. Getting this the real Naruto leaves some clones with lee and follows. Kakashi saves him.

Shickamaru lead the girl away by himself because she was the one who used sound to hurt her opponents and if he could kill her before she imobalized him with the sound, then he could catch up quickly enough. First thing he did was have her break her flute. She seemed to not resist at all until she activated the curse seal. She then grew horns and over powered his skill. Sensei saves him.

Haku and Shino fight the split guy one of them went inside of haku. Haku kills himself in order to kill the this one, who lives long enough to be killed by Shino. Shino had taken the other down.

As naruto follows he receves a memory of the bone telling his clone that Sasuke was to be a sacrifice, during a diversion to let lee go five gates and drink the ‘special chackra boost’.

When Naruto catches up, he surrounds Sasuke with clones. Sasuke sets Sakura down in the grass and glares at Naruto.

“Hey Sasuke. What are you doing. Do you even know why that bastard is taking you in.” he scolds

Naruto, shut up. You are a fool if you think your stoping him.” Sakura retorts.

“Silence.” Sasuke shifts his glare to Sakura. She gulps.

“Sasuke, if you are going to do this, then I am going to stop you,” naruto growls.

Sasuke took battle stance. Naruto rushed him. Attacking with speed. Sasuke rush forward just as fast as naruto was going. They collided. Ducking and dodging, strikeing and blocking, both moving faster than sakura thought she would ever be able to move. Finally they pull.

“I didn’t even need to use them.” Naruto twitches.

“My sharingan. I didn’t even need to use them. And I can still keep up with you.” He laughs “now I have strength. And now I will beat you.” He still held a grudge over his lose at the exam. He activated his sharingan, and attacked.

Naruto waved his clones in and ambushed him. Sasuke took them on. Killing each one faster than the last but he didn’t touch naruto. “I’m only toying with you. I can see the difference between you and your clones now. You have lost already.”

“ I would think that someone as stuck up as you would be smarter than this, Sasuke.”

They connected again. The clones came out sasuke was still winning. He leapt up and spat a gigantic fire ball at naruto. All the clones vanished, leaving him singed. His jacket was tossed along with his bandana. Naruto released the weights. And attacked again.

Seeing naruto take off the weights made Sakura feel taken aback. She saw sasuke flinch. ‘He hadn’t known about the weights. Did he base his arrogance on that he had kept up?’

They fought again this time naruto driving sasuke toward a cliff. They went over the edge. Sakura got up and ran to the edge of the cliff. They had just switched terrain. And were fighting on the side of the cliff as if nothing had changed. They jumped. Naruto hit the water. And a clone appeared beside him. Sasuke, still in the air made his symbols. The chidori came to life in his hands. “Rasingan!” The clone vanished in a puff of shadow. Naruto was wielding a new technique. Sasuke was now running down a large statue of some sort. He hit the water and kept running, strait at naruto. Their attacks struck. Both of them pressing with all their might. The water was cratering beneath them. It gushed up in a great wave encircling them. And they were thrown apart. sasuke hit the statue. Naruto gained his feet before sasuke even got out of the statue. “How could you betray kanoha, sasuke? How could you?”

“I want power. More power. I need the power to kill my brother. I have to avenge my family. It isn’t something you would know about. You grew up without a family. I had one and it was taken away. My brother killed my entire clan. I will do whatever I have to, if I can kill him. Even kill my best friend.”

“You would kill you best friend to kill him. How does that make you any different from him!?”

“It is the only way to get the highest level of sharingan. The power I need to kill him.”

‘His best friend! Was that why he braught Sakura?’ Naruto had reached an insight of sasuke’s plans. ‘Sasuke was going to kill her as a way to gain his next sharingan.’ “Sasuke, oruchimaru is just going to kill you so he can live forever. He won’t —“

“I don’t give a damn if I die, so long as itachi dies with me” sasuke interrupted.

Naruto was angry. But he realized now that there would be no reasoning with sasuke. “I’m not going to let you turn into your brother. I’m going to stop you and bring you back if I have to break your arms and legs.” He shouted, then charged.

Sasuke couldn’t see his movements as he struck. he hit sasuke with the force to stop a stampede. Sasuke went flying, and landed on his feet. But preoccupied with landing he didn’t see naruto launch above to hamer him into the water with a locked double fist. He then hit the water with an electric shock. Sasuke launched out of the water with a scream of rage and pain. He was propelled forward by chackra across the water. Naruto was off in a flash to head him off. Jumping, he bounced off the side of the cliff to hit Sasuke with a kick across the face. As two of his clones droped down on sasuke, knocking him back down under the water. Remembering his last shock Sasuke swam up to get out. But the clones swam much faster. They were actually able to tackle him underwater, as he tried to move aside they just plowed through him. And then it hit again. This time with more kick. As though his body was being torn apart by ropes made of fire and going numb at the same time while still feeling the ropes. All the clones under the water died. Sasuke pushed up. He was out and on the water, leaping up he called on his cursed seal. ‘I will use my seal to fight him then finish him off with the chidori.’ Sasuke decided. He landed on the rock wall. Naruto stood there, still as stone. “come” sasuke challenged. He pressed as much chackra into his eyes as he could stand. naruto was up the wall. Sasuke stomped on the wall and stones tumbled down, to be crushed into dust as naruto passed. He felt it. His eyes were speeding up. He had created full sharingan. Naruto clashed. He saw naruto move as if he was going slow on purpose. They were now on equal ground. Now he would do it. Sasuke finally got his powerful hit in, knocking naruto back and down. he landed on his feet on the side of the wall. And sasuke was already on offence. Hitting him with every tai he could. He finally struck in the finisher. He put his chackra into his hand as it struck several nerves on naruto. This type of fighting was what sasuke had thought he faced with itachi. The speed was faster than he had thought he would manage so soon. Yet naruto had been this fast from the beginning of the fight. Naruto’s body fell. Sasuke jumped and grabed him in a pile drive locking his head between both feet. naruto would land on it with sasuke’s wight added to his own, it would kill him. They hit. Naruto was dead.

Sakura screamed. She began climbing down. she had wanted to make it up to naruto for the way she had treated him. And now that she had seen just what he was, sasuke had killed him. She never in her life had thought the dead last could beat sasuke. But he had at the exam. He had been bitten too. But that wasn’t the power he had. The curse failed to take him over. And just now he showed more power than she thought even kakashi had.

Naruto moved. It coulden’t be. He was still alive! Even after that, He lived! It was not human! He was not human! Sasuke picked him up and created his chidori. Naruto opened his eyes. “what are you?!” sasuke roared. He plunged chidori into naruto’s heart and dropped him.

Naruto was dying. He could feel his life leaving him. Even after he had become helpless sasuke had to finish him off. The hit had struck his heart. Just grazing it, because he shifted at the last moment. But he was sluggish and it did graze his heart. Also it took out one of his lungs. He could never survive such injuries.

Sakura shrieked. “He was down. how could you!”

‘Sakura’ naruto drifted in the water. ‘if he died now sakura would be killed as a sacrifice to sasuke’s twisted revenge.” His drifting halted abruptly. He could hear a ragged breath being taken. An extremely large breath. “so you have been beaten. It will take much power to heal this. I will not allow such damage to my vessel.”

Naruto looked up at kuuybi and growled. “if you think I wanted this to happen then shut your mouth you son of a bitch. maybe you should be helping me. Huh! If you—“

“silence you fool. I have been helping you! If not for me you injuries would have killed you by now. But if you need kelp to fight then tell me why I should do anything more than keep my prison alive”

“ well for a monster like you, shouldn’t fighting be reason enough. A chance to use all that power you have locked up with you.

“you are a crude one. But don’t underestimate me. I have more power than your small mind could contain—“

“Then use it. I can’t take sasuke down like this. If you think you can help me then do it! And I swear I will let you train with me. I will let you use some of that chackra crowding you in there!

“Fine”

Sasuke turned at sakura’s shriek. He didn’t care if she wanted to spare naruto. he was dead now. And there was no way he could come back to life this time. Then he heard it. at the bubling sound, sasuke slowly turned “It is impossible!”

Sakura stopped climbing down. She stopped yelling at sasuke. She even stopped breathing. Sakura had forgotten everything when she saw this. Behind a slowly turning sasuke a red mist was pouring out of naruto’s body. It had to be the same chakra as from the exam. He was still somehow alive and now he was using that weird red chackra. Slowly he rose. To his heals still bent over so his hear was in the water but his back arched and he was rising. Is he some sort of monster? Where was the red chakra from? He just couldn’t have a blood line, he just couldn’t. Maybe this was why people didn’t like him. This was what the trouble with the exam was. And it must have been the thing that he and Hinnata were hiding. She would find out what it was even if it was too late. She had to.

Sasuke stepped closer to the rising form of naruto. He couldn’t believe it. It just wasn’t possible. He could never have survived. Abruptly naruto flung forward and his fist slammed into sasuke’s mouth, sending him back all the way across the lake. The red chackra mist was gushing out of him like a flood out of a needle hole. “What the hell are you?! Monster.” sasuke roared as the mist took form of a great fox above naruto.

“damn it. Damn it sasuke. Damn you sasuke.” Naruto’s injuries were healing. As if he were regrowing a limb fast enough to see it inch along. “ you actually tried to kill me? You thought you could just kill me!” The water around naruto was evaporating. He was no longer even standing on the water. The steam was lifting him above it. His face contorted with rage, was getting broader, his eyes slanted. And those marks on his face grew into full whiskers.

“how is this real?”

In answer naruto flung an arm forward and the chakra shifted as a gust of wind knocked sasuke to the water.

Naruto leaned over to all fours, Showing fanges in his growl. He flashed forward, streaming a tail of mist behind him. He hit sasuke in the stomach and the look on sasuke’s face was a mix of pain, shock, and fear. Naruto hit with the other fist and twisted so his fists seemed to roll off in to sasuke. Lifting them both up a few feet in the air and finishing with a kick that sent sasuke sprawling up into the air. Naruto was up too. He grabed sasuke’s legs and twisted. Then he flipped his whole body in front flips slaming sasuke into the cliff wall. Sasuke rolled forwards and off the ledge his hit had created. Making the symbols as he fell, He leased his most powerful fire ball. Naruto came down on top of it but insead of being burned he seemed to just roar and his chackra not only put it out but sent it back and then hit afterwards. The sheer force of it left sasukes face flapping. Dazed sasuke could do nothing as naruto landed on him. He was plunged under water. His next stage of curse activated. He felt his body shift and change as he contorted into a demon. He rose out of the water. And looked at his new form. “ you know, I have a good feeling about this”

Naruto’s clones seemed to melt out of him he didn’t even make the symbols. They sped towards sasuke. He seemed to take them as he had the first time. Just killing them, but their number was so much greater. They were launching out of the water at him, and they were still covering the entire lake.

Sasuke fought harder than ever. Wiping them out. Then one grabed him from below and before he could move he was being swung by a chain of clones faster and faster. Then he struck the wall. He blew his fire onto them burning them all. Up came naruto. Sasuke went down to meet him. naruto reached out a hand and the red chackra surrounding him launched itself at sasuke. Sasuke jumped, and landed on the water as the chackra wirled around him soon a funnel lifted up out of the water and the red limb bounced between the wall. Striking at him, until it hit him. It pressed him and plunged him into the wall on shore then brought him back to naruto’s waiting fist across the lake. He hit and kept coming. They hit the wall of a cliff creating a large crater. Sasuke felt pain inside his sholder as the wing rapidly grew itself. It hit naruto knocking him off. The other one came out and lashed out at naruto. Sending him to the water naruto punched the wall and began running up it, his fist dragging inside the wall. When he reached sasuke he lifted it out, bringing with it, a large avalanche up to meet sasuke. This carried them both to the statue. Naruto jumped back and over to the other statue. His hands inches away from each other at his side. A blue form of chackra formed under the red mist. Sasuke did the same. He created his chidori and put as much into it as he could. it too had changed with his transformation into the 2nd stage of the curse. Now it was like a ball of black fire.

They launched at each other, Sasuke flying and naruto running across the water fall. Again chidori and rasingan met. The black spines of sasukes chidori twised and formed a spiral. As excess chackra from both waved about like whips. More and more of them appeared. Soon they were enveloped in them. The energy filling such a small space was baking both of them alive. Sasuke saw his chance. With his free hand he struck out. Naruto caught it and held him back. They were locked in an unwavering battle of power and Naruto had superior chackra by far. This time when the result exploded, it took out both of the statues and much of the surrounding terrain. They were propelled farther. Into the woods sasuke crashed. And sakura was driven into the cliff. All though she was at the other end of the valley her hear burned she felt as though she would be crushed by the powerful blast of air and chackra. When the blast ended sakura climed up the now ruble cliff. To see all the trees uprooted. She ran to find sasuke. Sasuke was too hurt to go on. “You…. Will.. have to…. Bring.. me…. the rest… of the way.” He stutters. She hesitates. Mabe if she just held him there they could keep him in the village. But he would always see her a traitor to him. And he still had that seal.he grabed her arm and gave her a dirty look. Believing she will be able to help him only by getting the seal off, but that must be done by the one who put it there, she lifted him up and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

As sasuke stumbled beside sakura the heard naruto’s words again in his mind. “if you would kill you best friend to kill him. How are you different from him?” naruto was right about that. Sasuke would find a new way to get power. Sakura was free of her uses once they got to the base.
When they got there though, Kabotu is less than welcoming. Sasuke said she had been the reason he got there so in exchange for that they will let her live. But send her back; he had no more use for her. Sakura is knocked unconscious.

Naruto woke in the hospital with hinnata and iroku standing over him. Hinnata immediately burst into tears. And iroku grinned like a madman. It would seem that kakashi had found naruto after saving lee from the bone ninja. He had all of his skin burned off and most of his body was crushed. But his injuries weren’t what hurt the most. Naruto had failed and Kiba was now left without a team. Naruto felt terrible. Jeriya was gone off to search for the nation of sound, while Naruto is supposed to be in the hospital. At this point in time for saving Niji, Hinnata is allowed back into her father’s house. A.K.A. told to return and not given a choice.

But though she lives there she only sleeps there she gets up before light and trains with Gui while Lee does only worm ups because he is still resting after the fight with bone guy. Then she goes to ramen to change into something more feminine as daughter is still teaching her how to act like a girl. Then she and Shino visit Naruto in the hospital sometimes they sneak him out to walk. But the one time he tried to join in the training Hinnata actually argues with him until she resorts to yelling at him. After that Shino Hinnata and Kiba join together and go on missions that keep them in the village. Kiba had to join them because he had lost his team and now as they tell him about their other missions before he starts to wish he had not been so mean to Naruto. As for kakashi he is left without a team for the moment and trains, as he can’t get over the fact that his team had gone rogue.

Only two weeks later there is an attack on the village again.

Sakura was put under a sealed genjutsu and sent as a distraction when orucimaru attacks to kill the third again. And she has a one-time cursed seal 2nd mixed in w/the gen. she walks into the village and lashes out at the first ninja she sees. Destroying the guard post. Then fights with Naruto. Beating him. He just can’t attack her. Hinnata sees the seal and knows Naruto will die. She fights her and Sakura brings out the curse. Eventually Hinnata’s hands are crushed. Naruto sees this and remembers how Hinnata had always been so kind to him. She had defended him when Sakura insulted him. And he remembered how Sakura had always hit him. Because of her Hinnata had just lost her hands. The tool she use for her main fighting technique. Without them she can never be a ninja again. The Kuuybi could feel his anger and now took the chance to gain control. “If you can’t fight this girl, then I will. And I promise you won’t remember a thing.”Naruto made his choice and unleashes Kuuybi. But Kuuybi is in control. Shino and others fight Kabuto. Kakashi knows something is up. And heads off an unknown ninja. Sasuke fights kakashi, battle of the chidori. Kabuto had healed him and spent all his time for it. He had also learned how to control the curse better now he was strong. orichimaru kills the 3rd who had lost hi precious boy. Naruto having been taken over needs stopped Lee tries to defend Sakura and goes 5gate but Naruto has let out two tails now and is more powerful. Against red rasingan, he spins in the same direction, but faster. Pulling memory from Naruto Kuuybi brings out an attack that plants the opponent like a turnip creating six chains of clones he brings his clones to kick Lee up higher and higher soon they are using other clones to jump higher and kick Lee even still higher. By the time they are finished kicking they have gone so high that it should be impossible. Then the original using his falling clones as a stair case, Naruto grabs him and spins. The clone chains grab them and run for all their worth making them spin much faster than Lee’s move did. As the run the circle they run is widened driving them to the ground much harder than just the gravity could. Somehow Naruto’s body worked against Kuuybi on its own. So Naruto took the full pile drive. He knew he could heal his host but it would take at least 2 minutes and that was enough for Naruto’s sensei to genjutsu him to put him asleep.

I loved it. Truly, I await the next chapter; without a doubt it will be spectacular. The growing relationship between Naruto and Hinata is budding as sweet and slow as the approach of spring. My regards for the possibilities and inspirations that arrives with the new year.

hey i have a bit here you might be able to use.

i was bored and waiting for ch. 19

Shino and Naruto accept a mission. then Naruto spends time with Hinnata who still hasn’t recovered all the way and can’t go on a b class. Under the eye of Jeriya, Shino, Naruto, and a temporary, new member of the team, Haku, are sent to the nation of sand to help the recovery after the death of the kohakage. This is also so Naruto doesn’t hear all the protests of his passing the exam. So while on the trip Naruto practices his new technique. As they walk through the desert Jeriya has him blow up a water balloon. Then he has to blow up a rubber ball. Then not blow up an air balloon. At this point the Kuuybi’s chakra is interfering too much. He had been able to tune it out when he learned to walk on water so he was surprised when he wasn’t able to for this. After he tells Jeriya about this, Naruto and Jeriya talk of Kuuybi. And decide to develop Naruto’s control over it. Naruto is astonished that he was supposed to control Kuuybi. But he thinks he might be able to. Once they get there they do pretty much nothing. Here Gaara is still figuring out what it is to have someone you care for. His siblings are the main subject. Naruto finds he can’t focus the chakra enough for the rasingan. Kuuybi’s chakra keeps interfering. So he can’t master it. Until a last missing ninja appears and attempts to raise an army of stone solders at this point Naruto sets another clone to shape it while he puts the chakra in. he defeats the missing ninja. But too late the army has been raised. They defeat even Jeriya and are fighting every one. But Gaara can’t help he is afraid he might give over to his demon again. Soon everyone is wiped out and Naruto in beat down thinking Naruto has been killed Haku forces Shino to grab Jeriya’s unconscious body and run. Naruto see’s them running and thinks they will die if they aren’t backed up soon. Even Gaara’s siblings are being defeated. Finally he finds Gaara and hit him telling him to snap out of it. “They need our help. Are you going to let everyone who care about you die?” he and Gaara combine powers. He and his clone make rasingan and Gaara waves his arms in wider sweeps above the rasingan as he puts his sand in it to make sand storm rasingan. Haku covers Shino with his ice. And they can see Naruto clones dropping on the stone solders in the storm. And it is only Naruto’s amazing regeneration that keeps him from being worn away by the sand as the soldiers are. Once done, they are thanked and sent home, as they completed the mission.

But team seven just failed another mission. Kiba is angry at Sasuke for killing one of their opponents, after he was going to surrendered with, his new chidori. When his seal activated Kiba tried to fight but Sasuke didn’t want to lose to another bothersome weakling. He strikes Kiba. “Don’t interfere again. I will deal with him. And I will do it myself.” Even with his seal activated he fought. And this time he seemed stronger as if he was pulling strength from the curse. Using his chidori, he killed the man even as he began to surrender. Now Kiba was looking for any reason to fight Sasuke and prove he was stronger and would have succeeded in the mission if Sasuke had not been so stuck up and let him help. Sakura had felt useless through the whole thing. Now she asks to join in the training that Naruto and Lee were doing. If it made the dead last so strong it might make her useful to her team.

Hinnata is ecstatic about the return of her team, and has finally recovered enough to train, but without the weights. She had missed them a lot but she swore to be healed when he returned. So the Kurenai and she worked together long and hard to recover. She helps Naruto and Jeriya try to teach Naruto to control the demon fox. She and Naruto also join Lee and Sakura in training again and Naruto tells all about the mission but leaves out the parts about Kuuybi. For some reason he just doesn’t believe Sakura would take it very well. But Sakura knows that he is keeping something back. By the way he pauses and they all look at him as if they know what. And it is like a big secret being kept just from her. Was it because of the way she treated him at the academy. Was that why he would not tell her? She would ask kakashi and he tells her that yes she probably blew her chances at learning of the great usumachi secret at the academy, but no he would not help her figure it out. Was it about the red chakra she saw at the exam? Could he have some blood line that made him dangerous? That would explain why people acted so rude about him. And Hinnata feels some joy that Naruto keeps it secret from his old crush, but had told her. She feels like sticking her tongue out at Sakura because she has more of Naruto then Sakura has of either Naruto or Sasuke. Inside she thinks maybe she is better at being a girl than Sakura. But she remembers that odd comment he made about her being like a boy instead of a girl during the mission to pull weeds. And winds up mad because maybe it was her being bad at acting like a girl that was the reason Naruto was her friend. She wonders if Naruto even thinks of her as a girl. Lee tries to get Sakura’s attention again. But this time she is nice about it when she said no. so nice that Lee thinks he has plenty chance with her. Naruto asks him if he ever new Naruto to give up on anything. No, Lee had never heard of that. Naruto usumachi never gives up on anything. Well he gave up on Sakura. They get in an argument and Lee tries to prove to Naruto that Sakura was nicer now. Sakura, having been trying to eavesdrop and see what that big secret was, heard this bad conversation about her as well. This time though, she thinks back to not just how she had turned him down but how he had persisted even after. And she sees that he was right he didn’t give up on anything but her. Now she decides to make it up to Naruto for all the bad things she did. And she hopes he might forgive her. Soon Naruto is trying to decide if he still likes her. Hinnata is getting jealous though and tries to become more like a girl. She thinks back to when her ‘special training had left her a wreck. Ayame had taught her how to use make up. She asks Ichiraku’s daughter to help her.

“I.. um ..I. I… I want.. Um ‘she starts to point her fingers together as she is nervous.’ I want Naruto to …um notice me..” “But he notices you every day you two seem to go every ware together.” “That’s not… um.. How I…’ she starts to blush so bad her face is ALL red. This is not lost on Ayame who begins to look at her funny’ I.. Want.. Um.. I want him to notice me as .. A .. um .. As a girl’ she finally said it. The last part rushing out. Giggling, Ayame agrees, and asks what all Hinnata already knew. It seemed that she had not been taught much about acting like a girl

Orichimaru decides he needs the sharingan to defeat the third this time. So he takes Sasuke, Sooner than he had planned. He sends out his minions, knowing that Sasuke is in a bad state.

Sasuke and Kiba get in to another argument, and Kiba tells him that he is no good at being a ninja. And if he really thinks he can have that vengeance he always pouts over then he is a fool. At this Sasuke gets angry. And blows up a shop with his fire jutsu in an attempted to hurt Kiba for his insult

He then leaves and broods. ‘How could this happen. Even the dead last had beaten him. Naruto was now a chunin. His team had fallen apart. Kiba and kakashi blamed him for all the failed missions. And worse it was his fault they failed. Now he lost his temper. He destroyed the shop. It seems that no matter how hard he can train. It just does no good. He can’t get kakashi to train him more. It was doing nothing. He just stayed weak.’

It couldn’t be a coincidence that 5 strange ninjas come to his house and gave him an offer. He remembered the ninja oruchimaru. At first he had fought the seal on him but during his last mission he found that it was one thing that made him stronger. But he still was a ninja of Kanoha. And they had invaded. He attacked and lost. The fight left his house in ruins. As they left they told him of how his goal would be lost if he remained here as an ordinary WEAK ninja.

He had been convinced. He gathered his things and destroyed the rest of the house.

Sakura and Kiba had seen the fires at the uchila place and didn’t wait to take action. Kiba went to the path leading out of the village and Sakura went to Sasuke’s house. She was too late. He had left. So she followed him to the exit and saw Kiba and him fighting immediately went to stop them. But in the end she was only able to save Achimaru from the fire ball. Kiba however is burned badly. Achimaru goes to him and starts yelping. Sasuke runs as the commotion had to have brought someone. She now decides to chase after him. Kiba would get help. They were coming. Sakura follows just to keep Sasuke safe. She knows he wouldn’t let her come but when the others come out. She is caught. At first she fights them. But only a minute and she is left hurt. She still gets back up and tries to talk to Sasuke. She tells him she would do anything for him. And he tells the others to move out. Then she grabs him and asks that if he won’t stay. Then he should take her with him.

The others attack her again. And after she loses her nerve and breaks down they seal her and bring her with them as Sasuke wouldn’t let them kill her. “She wanted to go with me. I will allow her to follow. She may be of some use later”

Kiba had been saved, and reported what had happened. 3rd was furious that he hadn’t prevented this. He had known oruchimaru would attack again. But he had not thought that the uchila boy would deliberately turn his back on Kanoha. He had also known that oruchimaru would try to take him but he never thought it would be this soon.

He immediately called in the two new chunins. And gave them permission to recruit any lower ninja not on a mission. Shickamaru of course automatically went to Choji’s house. Naruto sent out his clones to find Shino, Haku, and grab Lee. When he found Lee and Gui training Tenten was with them for once. Well the weapons might be handy. And one clone left a message to sensei and Hinnata about the mission. As they are heading out, Niji came running up to request to join. Neji has healed, but he is still a little weak and he intends to make amends for his failure at the exam buy bringing in the uchila brat. No one is happy he is along. But his white eyes help much more than their complaints. Naruto vouches. At that no one felt they had a right to complain.

They form a plan, Shino and his allies can track. So they must be up front. He will be followed by shickamaru so he can give all of them directions, with hand symbols. Next is choji who has brute power. If they need to fight head on he can plow through the opponent. Then is Naruto he is in the middle so he can guard every one with his shadow clones. After him is Haku and tenten beside each other as full back up and Lee next because he and Haku are fast enough to turn and face rear assault instantly and last is Niji. He will use his white eyes to watch the rear as that is the best way to protect it.

Naruto and shickamaru in charge, Shino, shickimaru, choji, Naruto, ten ten, Haku, Lee, and Neji, are almost gone. But Kiba shows up all wrapped in bandages. Kiba tries to make peace with Naruto now and because he can’t go to bring back his teammates, he wants Naruto to promise he will bring them back.

While moving they worked out several strategies for when they caught up. And they avoided the many traps that seemed to be set without slowing down their prey.

When they do catch up, they are somehow surrounded. Shickamaru uses shadow mimicry, and catches all of them. At the same time Shino sets his allies to take all their chakra, And Haku freezes their legs to the ground. They don’t see sasuke but Sakura is folded over bone guy’s shoulder. And one guy is carrying a large barrel. Niji uses his eyes to look in it and just barely sees the traps in time to warn every one. Blades fly in from everywhere. Naruto sets plenty of clones to block shicamaru so he doesn’t need to let go of the prey. And Haku covers lee and tenten with his ice. Choji’s armor protects him. And Shino becomes a mass of bugs with blades sticking out. However the ninja’s soon over power shickamaru’s jutsu with their curse seals and attack anyway. Lee choji and tenten are covered in a web. Haku is hit with a bone strike. Shickamaru and Niji are sent down with a vast amount of sound. And Naruto is bombarded with stones. Then all of them but Shino are covered in a dome of rock. Outside they can hear an argument. The fat guy wanted to drain them. But the others said they didn’t go past level 1 so they don’t need replenished. he should kill them quickly and let them be going. The fat one said he would catch up and they could leave without him.

At this shickamaru has Niji do a scan of the wall sure enough. It was sucking their chakra away. So Naruto said it didn’t matter he could get them out. A clone appears and they start on the rasingan. But it won’t work. Neither does anything else. lee hits it and it regenerates. They need to think on it, shickamaru states. Cutting the others out of the web proved more difficult than expected. It finally took Niji’s chakra slices to get them out. Then they form a plan since they wasted time here they would have to split up and catch up. when they got out, Tenten would summon all her weapons as soon as the wall broke, she and choji would stay. But to get out they needed to find a week point. Lee and several clones of Naruto provided that as they decimated the walls. Then like with the sand Gaara’s monster hand Naruto set out a chakra pulse which dazed the walls power. At the same time Niji used soft boxing to the point they would break out to divert what little chakra there to another spot. And then as lee and Haku used their speed attacks to damage the wall so it needed regenerated. More than it could choji blasted through the wall with his meat tank.

As soon as they were free tenten summoned her weapons and started using them. A dozen clones came at the guy from all directions and choji enlarged to fight.

Shino had placed the bugs on them so when he joined they were able to take off and follow.

Mean while Hinnata finds the note to her and sensei. She had been left behind. Was she still too weak to fight? Was she useless? She packs her gear and runs for it. She is headed to find the others and help.

As they fight the fat guy shows he is quite skilled at tai. But he does the most damage when he uses a rock wave. He destroys the ground, and throws giant boulders at them. As he does this he brags and insults them. Finally he calls chuji a fat pig. Chuji enlarged fights with him like nothing before forcing him to go 2nd level. The guy has become too strong to handle like this. All of tenten’s weapons bounce off. And the clones are all wiped out. Finally choji grabs him in a struggle hold and tenten ties them both down. Choji tells her to use the last tool she brought. It was last attack, but to use it she would impale choji as well as the fat ninja. Choji tells her “go on and do it or we both die.” She asks him to forgive her, he nods.

As they chase, Niji comments on their advantage. The others are slow to pick up on it. He states that there have been no traps so the ninjas must think that the fat one would have been enough to handle them all.

They decide to do a hinge of him. But who would do it? In the end Naruto would do it, because his were the tricks of the village pariah.

Just before splitting Niji gives something to Naruto “remember the time when Lee got drunk at the restaurant. Well he fought much better. And if he needs a little help then I’m sure Gui sensei would approve of him using this ‘ he makes a quotation symbol with his hands ‘ to boost his flames of youth” Naruto opens the lid and sniffs. Wine. More importantly, Alcohol. Naruto remembered Lee’s drunken monkey fighting. It was the first time Lee had ever hit Niji. It was quite an idea to spike him in the battle.

The fat ninja caught up to them at last. “’What took so long” “one of them had an extraordinary amount of chakra. I had to give up and just kill that one normally.” “”Well I don’t really care just take the barrel.” “Fine, I am fully recharged anyway.” The barrel is tossed to him. But bone ninja jumps back and grabs it tossing down Sakura he throws the barrel to split, who takes off. He grabs Sakura and runs as well. And spidy webs the fat ninja. Puff, the clone vanishes and outcome Lee and Haku. Moving fast they send the girl sprawling into a shadow trap and are hit with web. Puff they arereplaced by clone who also vanish. Niji had already convinced them his soft boxing was the only thing to defeat the spider with. He took on the spider as soon as they met driving him back away from the two teams. And shickamru leads the girl on a wild goose chase. The others were already moving after sasuke and Sakura.

Hinnata arrived at the battle site to see tenten tending to choji. Choji was hurt badly and their opponent was dead. She gave her medicine and instructions to tenten before continuing the chase.

Kakashi and sensei were rushing to catch up. Hinnata only had an hour’s lead but she moved so much faster than she used to. Even with the dogs out kakashi was having trouble tracking her at this speed.

Niji hits him with everything he has demolishing him but when the fury of his attack slows he sees that he is hitting a golden surface; it was some sort of armor. He had thought that only his soft boxing could defeat this guy. But now he saw no way to hit him. As the armor fell off the man started monologueing telling Niji how he had failed. He was just buying time to think. Niji rushed him again trying to find a spot unguarded. Nothing. The spider got away. He was hiding somewhare. A blade drops from above him. As he jumps out of the way he sees several golden spikes come from the opposite direction. He doges those barely. Only to have many, many, more come at him from all sides. He turns and begins the kaitien. The spikes all bounce off and cling into the dirt. He uses his sight as far as he can until he finds spidy and sends an armload of weapons at him. As he runs to bring him in to close combat. Spidy jumps and turns dodging all of the blades. And then drops down to the ground. He was using the curse again. He sends an onslot of spikes at Niji and summons a giant chakra spider. As Niji’s kaiten blocks all the spikes the thing shoots something out and this grows. Spidy swings up and slices it. Now Niji is using the kietien to block off all mini spiders. His kiatien seems to be becoming sluggish. It was the webs. They were interfering with his kaitein. He could only doge the spike that came at him this time. And it still gave him a glancing blow to the arm. He would have to hit them all one by one. He began 8 d 64 p more came down he was now this time he dodged all of the blades sent as well. All but one, which hit him in the back. Somehow out of his field of vision. Spidy had discovered the secret of the white eyes.

Naruto, lee, Shino, and Haku, fallow the last two. Once they catch up Haku sets a barrior of ice over split as Shino’s allies strike. Lee and Naruto speed in and use tie on the bone one. Clones taking Sakura and setting her down. As they fight the bone one pulls blades out of his own flesh. But lee and Naruto push him back. Naruto’s clones duck in the ice and set to getting the barrel. Finally they throw the split over a cliff and take the barrel to follow Sakura’s set of clones. He leaves those two and a few clones to drop down and take care of split.

Hinnata is runnig faster than she ever had. Without the waits she had wore she sped through the trees. She had never tried to see just how fast she could run without them. And she still hadn’t got back up to the wight she had before the exam. She find another fight had took place. But this one seemed to still be going. She followed the damage of the woods till her white eyes spot it. There was only one opponent and Niji. Niji is hurt badly. He was surrounded by big spiders and several spikes stuck out of him. The opponent was insulting Niji and talking about a game being over. Hinnata nails him with her 64 punches, Only to see that he had covered himself with a golden crust. Hinnata leaped down to Niji, who had stood, when she attacked. He told her she was too weak to compete with this man. Even he couldn’t fight back. Hinnata scolds him and tells him that she would not give up. Niji sees the exams for a moment. She stands there after he had beat her worse than anyone should be able to take and move. Still demanding to be put on her place. But had he not just done the same? He had gotten back up to fight even when the spider had told him that he couldn’t win. He didn’t give up just because someone told him to. But there was a difference. She was defeated and still got back up.

Spidy gloated that he had a new player to play with. And released more of the spiders. Niji just couldent believe it when she screamed kiatien and began moveing so fast that even his wight eyes had trouble following her movements. She was sweeping her arms in every angle and moving her body so gracefully he thought she couldn’t be that same little wimp he had to compare himself to. And more suprising was the result she had created a perfect kietien. Even better than his by sending direct slices in every angle. She cut away everything that came near her. Then the spidy said it was time to finish the game and dropped the giant spider on her.

Hinnata saves Niji’s life leaving him thinking hard on just what he had done wrong when he tried to kill her.

Bang. The barrel exploded, wiping out most of Naruto’s clones. Sasuke is standing in the center. The other Naruto clones start to tell him what is going on. When he moves, He kills all the clones and grabs Sakura, who had been awakened by the blast, then takes off. Getting this the real Naruto leaves some clones with lee and follows. Kakashi saves him.

Shickamaru lead the girl away by himself because she was the one who used sound to hurt her opponents and if he could kill her before she imobalized him with the sound, then he could catch up quickly enough. First thing he did was have her break her flute. She seemed to not resist at all until she activated the curse seal. She then grew horns and over powered his skill. Sensei saves him.

Haku and Shino fight the split guy one of them went inside of haku. Haku kills himself in order to kill the this one, who lives long enough to be killed by Shino. Shino had taken the other down.

As naruto follows he receves a memory of the bone telling his clone that Sasuke was to be a sacrifice, during a diversion to let lee go five gates and drink the ‘special chackra boost’.

When Naruto catches up, he surrounds Sasuke with clones. Sasuke sets Sakura down in the grass and glares at Naruto.

“Hey Sasuke. What are you doing. Do you even know why that bastard is taking you in.” he scolds

Naruto, shut up. You are a fool if you think your stoping him.” Sakura retorts.

“Silence.” Sasuke shifts his glare to Sakura. She gulps.

“Sasuke, if you are going to do this, then I am going to stop you,” naruto growls.

Sasuke took battle stance. Naruto rushed him. Attacking with speed. Sasuke rush forward just as fast as naruto was going. They collided. Ducking and dodging, strikeing and blocking, both moving faster than sakura thought she would ever be able to move. Finally they pull.

“I didn’t even need to use them.” Naruto twitches.

“My sharingan. I didn’t even need to use them. And I can still keep up with you.” He laughs “now I have strength. And now I will beat you.” He still held a grudge over his lose at the exam. He activated his sharingan, and attacked.

Naruto waved his clones in and ambushed him. Sasuke took them on. Killing each one faster than the last but he didn’t touch naruto. “I’m only toying with you. I can see the difference between you and your clones now. You have lost already.”

“ I would think that someone as stuck up as you would be smarter than this, Sasuke.”

They connected again. The clones came out sasuke was still winning. He leapt up and spat a gigantic fire ball at naruto. All the clones vanished, leaving him singed. His jacket was tossed along with his bandana. Naruto released the weights. And attacked again.

Seeing naruto take off the weights made Sakura feel taken aback. She saw sasuke flinch. ‘He hadn’t known about the weights. Did he base his arrogance on that he had kept up?’

They fought again this time naruto driving sasuke toward a cliff. They went over the edge. Sakura got up and ran to the edge of the cliff. They had just switched terrain. And were fighting on the side of the cliff as if nothing had changed. They jumped. Naruto hit the water. And a clone appeared beside him. Sasuke, still in the air made his symbols. The chidori came to life in his hands. “Rasingan!” The clone vanished in a puff of shadow. Naruto was wielding a new technique. Sasuke was now running down a large statue of some sort. He hit the water and kept running, strait at naruto. Their attacks struck. Both of them pressing with all their might. The water was cratering beneath them. It gushed up in a great wave encircling them. And they were thrown apart. sasuke hit the statue. Naruto gained his feet before sasuke even got out of the statue. “How could you betray kanoha, sasuke? How could you?”

“I want power. More power. I need the power to kill my brother. I have to avenge my family. It isn’t something you would know about. You grew up without a family. I had one and it was taken away. My brother killed my entire clan. I will do whatever I have to, if I can kill him. Even kill my best friend.”

“You would kill you best friend to kill him. How does that make you any different from him!?”

“It is the only way to get the highest level of sharingan. The power I need to kill him.”

‘His best friend! Was that why he braught Sakura?’ Naruto had reached an insight of sasuke’s plans. ‘Sasuke was going to kill her as a way to gain his next sharingan.’ “Sasuke, oruchimaru is just going to kill you so he can live forever. He won’t —“

“I don’t give a damn if I die, so long as itachi dies with me” sasuke interrupted.

Naruto was angry. But he realized now that there would be no reasoning with sasuke. “I’m not going to let you turn into your brother. I’m going to stop you and bring you back if I have to break your arms and legs.” He shouted, then charged.

Sasuke couldn’t see his movements as he struck. he hit sasuke with the force to stop a stampede. Sasuke went flying, and landed on his feet. But preoccupied with landing he didn’t see naruto launch above to hamer him into the water with a locked double fist. He then hit the water with an electric shock. Sasuke launched out of the water with a scream of rage and pain. He was propelled forward by chackra across the water. Naruto was off in a flash to head him off. Jumping, he bounced off the side of the cliff to hit Sasuke with a kick across the face. As two of his clones droped down on sasuke, knocking him back down under the water. Remembering his last shock Sasuke swam up to get out. But the clones swam much faster. They were actually able to tackle him underwater, as he tried to move aside they just plowed through him. And then it hit again. This time with more kick. As though his body was being torn apart by ropes made of fire and going numb at the same time while still feeling the ropes. All the clones under the water died. Sasuke pushed up. He was out and on the water, leaping up he called on his cursed seal. ‘I will use my seal to fight him then finish him off with the chidori.’ Sasuke decided. He landed on the rock wall. Naruto stood there, still as stone. “come” sasuke challenged. He pressed as much chackra into his eyes as he could stand. naruto was up the wall. Sasuke stomped on the wall and stones tumbled down, to be crushed into dust as naruto passed. He felt it. His eyes were speeding up. He had created full sharingan. Naruto clashed. He saw naruto move as if he was going slow on purpose. They were now on equal ground. Now he would do it. Sasuke finally got his powerful hit in, knocking naruto back and down. he landed on his feet on the side of the wall. And sasuke was already on offence. Hitting him with every tai he could. He finally struck in the finisher. He put his chackra into his hand as it struck several nerves on naruto. This type of fighting was what sasuke had thought he faced with itachi. The speed was faster than he had thought he would manage so soon. Yet naruto had been this fast from the beginning of the fight. Naruto’s body fell. Sasuke jumped and grabed him in a pile drive locking his head between both feet. naruto would land on it with sasuke’s wight added to his own, it would kill him. They hit. Naruto was dead.

Sakura screamed. She began climbing down. she had wanted to make it up to naruto for the way she had treated him. And now that she had seen just what he was, sasuke had killed him. She never in her life had thought the dead last could beat sasuke. But he had at the exam. He had been bitten too. But that wasn’t the power he had. The curse failed to take him over. And just now he showed more power than she thought even kakashi had.

Naruto moved. It coulden’t be. He was still alive! Even after that, He lived! It was not human! He was not human! Sasuke picked him up and created his chidori. Naruto opened his eyes. “what are you?!” sasuke roared. He plunged chidori into naruto’s heart and dropped him.

Naruto was dying. He could feel his life leaving him. Even after he had become helpless sasuke had to finish him off. The hit had struck his heart. Just grazing it, because he shifted at the last moment. But he was sluggish and it did graze his heart. Also it took out one of his lungs. He could never survive such injuries.

Sakura shrieked. “He was down. how could you!”

‘Sakura’ naruto drifted in the water. ‘if he died now sakura would be killed as a sacrifice to sasuke’s twisted revenge.” His drifting halted abruptly. He could hear a ragged breath being taken. An extremely large breath. “so you have been beaten. It will take much power to heal this. I will not allow such damage to my vessel.”

Naruto looked up at kuuybi and growled. “if you think I wanted this to happen then shut your mouth you son of a bitch. maybe you should be helping me. Huh! If you—“

“silence you fool. I have been helping you! If not for me you injuries would have killed you by now. But if you need kelp to fight then tell me why I should do anything more than keep my prison alive”

“ well for a monster like you, shouldn’t fighting be reason enough. A chance to use all that power you have locked up with you.

“you are a crude one. But don’t underestimate me. I have more power than your small mind could contain—“

“Then use it. I can’t take sasuke down like this. If you think you can help me then do it! And I swear I will let you train with me. I will let you use some of that chackra crowding you in there!

“Fine”

Sasuke turned at sakura’s shriek. He didn’t care if she wanted to spare naruto. he was dead now. And there was no way he could come back to life this time. Then he heard it. at the bubling sound, sasuke slowly turned “It is impossible!”

Sakura stopped climbing down. She stopped yelling at sasuke. She even stopped breathing. Sakura had forgotten everything when she saw this. Behind a slowly turning sasuke a red mist was pouring out of naruto’s body. It had to be the same chakra as from the exam. He was still somehow alive and now he was using that weird red chackra. Slowly he rose. To his heals still bent over so his hear was in the water but his back arched and he was rising. Is he some sort of monster? Where was the red chakra from? He just couldn’t have a blood line, he just couldn’t. Maybe this was why people didn’t like him. This was what the trouble with the exam was. And it must have been the thing that he and Hinnata were hiding. She would find out what it was even if it was too late. She had to.

Sasuke stepped closer to the rising form of naruto. He couldn’t believe it. It just wasn’t possible. He could never have survived. Abruptly naruto flung forward and his fist slammed into sasuke’s mouth, sending him back all the way across the lake. The red chackra mist was gushing out of him like a flood out of a needle hole. “What the hell are you?! Monster.” sasuke roared as the mist took form of a great fox above naruto.

“damn it. Damn it sasuke. Damn you sasuke.” Naruto’s injuries were healing. As if he were regrowing a limb fast enough to see it inch along. “ you actually tried to kill me? You thought you could just kill me!” The water around naruto was evaporating. He was no longer even standing on the water. The steam was lifting him above it. His face contorted with rage, was getting broader, his eyes slanted. And those marks on his face grew into full whiskers.

“how is this real?”

In answer naruto flung an arm forward and the chakra shifted as a gust of wind knocked sasuke to the water.

Naruto leaned over to all fours, Showing fanges in his growl. He flashed forward, streaming a tail of mist behind him. He hit sasuke in the stomach and the look on sasuke’s face was a mix of pain, shock, and fear. Naruto hit with the other fist and twisted so his fists seemed to roll off in to sasuke. Lifting them both up a few feet in the air and finishing with a kick that sent sasuke sprawling up into the air. Naruto was up too. He grabed sasuke’s legs and twisted. Then he flipped his whole body in front flips slaming sasuke into the cliff wall. Sasuke rolled forwards and off the ledge his hit had created. Making the symbols as he fell, He leased his most powerful fire ball. Naruto came down on top of it but insead of being burned he seemed to just roar and his chackra not only put it out but sent it back and then hit afterwards. The sheer force of it left sasukes face flapping. Dazed sasuke could do nothing as naruto landed on him. He was plunged under water. His next stage of curse activated. He felt his body shift and change as he contorted into a demon. He rose out of the water. And looked at his new form. “ you know, I have a good feeling about this”

Naruto’s clones seemed to melt out of him he didn’t even make the symbols. They sped towards sasuke. He seemed to take them as he had the first time. Just killing them, but their number was so much greater. They were launching out of the water at him, and they were still covering the entire lake.

Sasuke fought harder than ever. Wiping them out. Then one grabed him from below and before he could move he was being swung by a chain of clones faster and faster. Then he struck the wall. He blew his fire onto them burning them all. Up came naruto. Sasuke went down to meet him. naruto reached out a hand and the red chackra surrounding him launched itself at sasuke. Sasuke jumped, and landed on the water as the chackra wirled around him soon a funnel lifted up out of the water and the red limb bounced between the wall. Striking at him, until it hit him. It pressed him and plunged him into the wall on shore then brought him back to naruto’s waiting fist across the lake. He hit and kept coming. They hit the wall of a cliff creating a large crater. Sasuke felt pain inside his sholder as the wing rapidly grew itself. It hit naruto knocking him off. The other one came out and lashed out at naruto. Sending him to the water naruto punched the wall and began running up it, his fist dragging inside the wall. When he reached sasuke he lifted it out, bringing with it, a large avalanche up to meet sasuke. This carried them both to the statue. Naruto jumped back and over to the other statue. His hands inches away from each other at his side. A blue form of chackra formed under the red mist. Sasuke did the same. He created his chidori and put as much into it as he could. it too had changed with his transformation into the 2nd stage of the curse. Now it was like a ball of black fire.

They launched at each other, Sasuke flying and naruto running across the water fall. Again chidori and rasingan met. The black spines of sasukes chidori twised and formed a spiral. As excess chackra from both waved about like whips. More and more of them appeared. Soon they were enveloped in them. The energy filling such a small space was baking both of them alive. Sasuke saw his chance. With his free hand he struck out. Naruto caught it and held him back. They were locked in an unwavering battle of power and Naruto had superior chackra by far. This time when the result exploded, it took out both of the statues and much of the surrounding terrain. They were propelled farther. Into the woods sasuke crashed. And sakura was driven into the cliff. All though she was at the other end of the valley her hear burned she felt as though she would be crushed by the powerful blast of air and chackra. When the blast ended sakura climed up the now ruble cliff. To see all the trees uprooted. She ran to find sasuke. Sasuke was too hurt to go on. “You…. Will.. have to…. Bring.. me…. the rest… of the way.” He stutters. She hesitates. Mabe if she just held him there they could keep him in the village. But he would always see her a traitor to him. And he still had that seal.he grabed her arm and gave her a dirty look. Believing she will be able to help him only by getting the seal off, but that must be done by the one who put it there, she lifted him up and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

As sasuke stumbled beside sakura the heard naruto’s words again in his mind. “if you would kill you best friend to kill him. How are you different from him?” naruto was right about that. Sasuke would find a new way to get power. Sakura was free of her uses once they got to the base.
When they got there though, Kabotu is less than welcoming. Sasuke said she had been the reason he got there so in exchange for that they will let her live. But send her back; he had no more use for her. Sakura is knocked unconscious.

Naruto woke in the hospital with hinnata and iroku standing over him. Hinnata immediately burst into tears. And iroku grinned like a madman. It would seem that kakashi had found naruto after saving lee from the bone ninja. He had all of his skin burned off and most of his body was crushed. But his injuries weren’t what hurt the most. Naruto had failed and Kiba was now left without a team. Naruto felt terrible. Jeriya was gone off to search for the nation of sound, while Naruto is supposed to be in the hospital. At this point in time for saving Niji, Hinnata is allowed back into her father’s house. A.K.A. told to return and not given a choice.

But though she lives there she only sleeps there she gets up before light and trains with Gui while Lee does only worm ups because he is still resting after the fight with bone guy. Then she goes to ramen to change into something more feminine as daughter is still teaching her how to act like a girl. Then she and Shino visit Naruto in the hospital sometimes they sneak him out to walk. But the one time he tried to join in the training Hinnata actually argues with him until she resorts to yelling at him. After that Shino Hinnata and Kiba join together and go on missions that keep them in the village. Kiba had to join them because he had lost his team and now as they tell him about their other missions before he starts to wish he had not been so mean to Naruto. As for kakashi he is left without a team for the moment and trains, as he can’t get over the fact that his team had gone rogue.

Only two weeks later there is an attack on the village again.

Sakura was put under a sealed genjutsu and sent as a distraction when orucimaru attacks to kill the third again. And she has a one-time cursed seal 2nd mixed in w/the gen. she walks into the village and lashes out at the first ninja she sees. Destroying the guard post. Then fights with Naruto. Beating him. He just can’t attack her. Hinnata sees the seal and knows Naruto will die. She fights her and Sakura brings out the curse. Eventually Hinnata’s hands are crushed. Naruto sees this and remembers how Hinnata had always been so kind to him. She had defended him when Sakura insulted him. And he remembered how Sakura had always hit him. Because of her Hinnata had just lost her hands. The tool she use for her main fighting technique. Without them she can never be a ninja again. The Kuuybi could feel his anger and now took the chance to gain control. “If you can’t fight this girl, then I will. And I promise you won’t remember a thing.”Naruto made his choice and unleashes Kuuybi. But Kuuybi is in control. Shino and others fight Kabuto. Kakashi knows something is up. And heads off an unknown ninja. Sasuke fights kakashi, battle of the chidori. Kabuto had healed him and spent all his time for it. He had also learned how to control the curse better now he was strong. orichimaru kills the 3rd who had lost hi precious boy. Naruto having been taken over needs stopped Lee tries to defend Sakura and goes 5gate but Naruto has let out two tails now and is more powerful. Against red rasingan, he spins in the same direction, but faster. Pulling memory from Naruto Kuuybi brings out an attack that plants the opponent like a turnip creating six chains of clones he brings his clones to kick Lee up higher and higher soon they are using other clones to jump higher and kick Lee even still higher. By the time they are finished kicking they have gone so high that it should be impossible. Then the original using his falling clones as a stair case, Naruto grabs him and spins. The clone chains grab them and run for all their worth making them spin much faster than Lee’s move did. As the run the circle they run is widened driving them to the ground much harder than just the gravity could. Somehow Naruto’s body worked against Kuuybi on its own. So Naruto took the full pile drive. He knew he could heal his host but it would take at least 2 minutes and that was enough for Naruto’s sensei to genjutsu him to put him asleep.

YAY!!!! YAY!!!! YAY!!!!!
Can’t tell you how much I love what you’ve done since I last read this ^^ (esp. Haku – for awhile there I thought you were going to kill him again and was practically screaming, but then it all worked out and was shiny and stuff :P)
Everything – the characterizations, the plot, the descriptions, are awesome. And I LOVE how you dealt with Gaara and his siblings in the end. (And Neiji has his seal removed/Hinata has her cousin again! Yay – but will Hiashi try to kill Hinata and Neiji now?)
Anyway, just wanted to tell you I’m jumping up and down from reading your fic!!!!!
