Damnation, school won’t finish fast enough so I can rush home and read it!
Well that’s good to hear. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you Matthew (although in Canada we observe it in October).
I’m enjoying this, and for myself I don’t mind the slow updates: I’m quite content to trade instant gratification for quality.
I have on the other hand just started reading your “Blackwand Chronicles” and I was wondering what your plans were in reference to that story. I’m only about half-way through what you’ve posted, and it’s thoroughly intriguing: I’m looking forward to seeing how you’re going to fit in with canon. There are indeed huge holes to fit things into, but it must be difficult to avoid stumbling over the “main action” from the HP saga.
That was yet another great chapter. Many questions were answered … and many more were raised. I can only hope you’ll find inspiration to move this even further soon.
And a happy Thanksgiving to you
Fantastic chapter as always, Matthew. I look forward to the next one and hope it comes soon.
Nice Chapter and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wife.
(Initial?) micro-review: using Mundungus as the only negative quote was inspired. To the extent he’s known in the *very* small U.K. Wizarding World, well, you don’t want to publicly be on his side ^_^.
Going on the PR offensive now and using Rita is brilliant. I’ve mentioned it before, but next to Voldemort, in my book she’s about the worst character in canon, since her pointless character assassination set up Fudge and the public to disbelieve Harry by the end of the GoF. She’s very culpable in what then happened.
(Well, pointless if you don’t think the other side was planning ahead as well … hmmm, in canon she could have been a useful idiot. You aren’t necessarily paranoid if they are out to get you, and it’s canon Lucius was as of CoS.)
Quibble: I’d expect Harry to at least try Lumos after heating up his wand, just to make sure it still works (it would be hard for you to make use of it being burned out given how prosaic his next use of it will likely be, but there are possibilities there, including it not being entirely broken. Then again, I wouldn’t want to bet against our favorite fire turkey :-)….

Fine chapter, enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for continuing to push on with NoFP!
Another good chapter as allways.
But I wonder if Percy really are humorless?
True he is rather stiff and rather bookwormish but all can´t have the humor like the twins.
