Nice chapter; nothing *loudly* tremendous—well, aside from Anko’s entrance … and I think they passed their obligatory crazy “new team” test ^_^—mostly merely touching stuff like the Uzumaki Clan (wow), moves things along very nicely. I continue to really enjoy this story, even if it hasn’t yet gotten gripping. Blackwand tells us that a fanfic by you of this nature (OCs as protagonists) will assuredly get absolutely compelling in due time—plus you’re doing your job of foreshadowing, I counted two upon re-reading for this micro-review— and in the meanwhile the ride is great.
While I may not read OotD, I’m glad to see that progress has been made on NoFP. I guess you had a burst of inspiration for it recently. I also wonder how Team 8 is coming along. I think Team 8 is going to make a mention of Orochimaru, the cursed seal that both Naruto and Sasuke received, and Naruto reporting on how he had his ‘removed’ by Kyuubi and his opinion on it to Kurenai and Sandaime about it (with Naruto being sure to stress that Kyuubi only helped due to how it could have affected him).
